Nubar “Maxlore” Sarafian is a British jungler in League of Legends. He’s currently playing for Misfits in the EU LCS.

Maxlore Career

In the beginning of his career, Maxlore spent some time playing for teams like Perilous Gaming Rift, Team Infused, Choke Gaming, and Ex Nihilo. However, he attended his first notable tournament on Gamers2. There, he took part in the 2015 EU CS Summer Split. He had a solid showing, winning three out of four games. But inner turmoil caused Maxlore to leave the team in the middle of the competition.

Afterward, he joined To Infinity and Beyond. Together with his new teammates, Maxlore participated in PGL Legends of the Rift Season 1. Infinity put on a clinic at the event, dismantling Denial eSports, G2, and Millenium to claim the trophy.

In spite of these results, Maxlore parted ways with the organization. He later went to Inspire eSports and took a shot at the 2016 EU CS Spring Split. Inspire had a solid showing in the regular season, but their playoffs run ended with a loss in a close series against Huma.

Still, Maxlore’s performance was impressive enough that he was able to join Giants Gaming in the 2016 EU LCS Summer Split. With his help, Giants secured the third-place finish over the regular season. But a different narrative unfolded in the playoffs, and they fell in the first series against Unicorns of Love. In the Regional Finals, they once again lost to UOL with a 0-3 score.

After such a disappointing run, Maxlore left for Team ROCCAT. But a new team didn’t turn his bad luck around. Team ROCCAT produced a mediocre 6-7 record and placed fourth in its group, effectively failing to qualify for the playoffs.

When Maxlore joined Misfits Gaming for the 2017 Summer Split, it seemed that things were about to go the same way. Misfits had a very shaky showing over the first half of the regular season. Still, they managed to pick up the slack for the playoffs. There, Misfits went all out, securing back-to-back victories against UOL and Fnatic. And even though they lost in the finals against G2 Esports, this showing was more than enough to qualify for Worlds.

Maxlore International Tournaments

On Misfits, Maxlore attended his first international tournament, the 2017 World Championship. Misfits finished the first week of the group stage with a 1-2 record, and it seemed like they were about to get eliminated from the tournament. But they managed to regain their composure and take down TSM to clinch the second playoffs seed. In the Quarterfinals, they faced SKT T1. And even though the Korean powerhouse seemed like the clear-cut favorite, Misfits put up a great fight and took the series to 5 games before getting knocked out of the tournament.
