Kam ‘Moon’ Boon Seng is the current carry/mid player for Mineski. He has previously played under the nickname of ‘NaNa’.

Career

Early Career

‘Moon’s professional career began in 2015 when he joined the team Invasion e-Sports. This was a Malaysian team that mostly participated in qualifiers, but they did place 5th/6th at the Major All Stars Dota 2 Tournament. ‘Moon’ didn’t play with them for long however, and after roughly a half year of not being signed by a team, joined SabunWarrior. He played with them for about 2 months, but did not play in any significant events. Following this, he left the team to play with WarriorsGaming.Unity, where his career properly began.

WarriorsGaming.Unity

WarriorsGaming.Unity slowly built up a team, and although ‘Moon’ joined them in late 2015, the squad’s first event was in April of 2016. However, their first achievement wasn’t until over a month later at WCA 2016 SEA Qualifiers which they won. The main event for WCA was at the end of the year however, which the team would end up placing joint last at, or 5th/10th.  In the meantime, the tam mostly attended in small events and qualifiers, such as The Manila Major Qualifiers and The International 2016 Qualifiers, both of which the team failed to qualify for. However, WGU did qualify for The Boston Major, where they placed 5th/8th and lost to the eventual winners of the event, OG. Despite this, WGU took home over $100,000 dollars for their 5th/8th place finish.

The team’s results did not improve much for most of 2017. They were briefly signed by Team Bazaar, but this lasted for about a month and the team reverted back to their previous name and ownership. They also failed to qualify for The Kiev Major and The International 2017, however they managed to win a few minor events, such as the SEA Kappa Invitational and Infinite Sky League. After failing to qualify for The International, ‘Moon’ decided to leave WarriorsGaming.Unity and join Mineski.

Mineski

‘Moon’s debut tournament with Mineski was the World Cyber Arena 2017 Qualifer, which the team won. The team would later place 2nd at StarLadder i-League and win PGL Open Bucharest. These results helped to solidify Mineski’s status as one of the strongest teams in the pro scene. In 2018, however, their results have decreased slightly, as they placed 9th/12th at both ESL One Genting and ESL One Katowice.

International tournaments

‘Moon’s major achievements have been reached through Mineski. With WarriorsGaming.Unity, he placed 5th/8th at The Boston Major, however. Some of his greatest achievements include a 1st place finish at PGL Open Bucharest and 2nd place at StarLadder i-League Invitational Season 3.
