Profit Domestic Career

Kim “Profit” Jun-hyung began his LoL career under the name KIM. He was playing as Young Glory’s top laner in the 2015 LSPL Spring Split. Young Glory did reasonably well in the group stage and qualified for the playoffs. There, they were knocked down to the loser’s bracket after a defeat against AD Gaming. And while they gained some momentum with a win over Oh My Dream, they fell short in the following series against Legend Dragon. They bounced back by taking down Kx Happy in the 5th/6th place decider.

During this time, Profit also attended the 2015 Demacia Cup Spring. However, Young Glory suffered a crushing 0-3 defeat in the first round of the competition. Thanks to their decent showing in the LSPL, Young Glory qualified for the LPL Promotion Tournament. Unfortunately, their run ended with a quick 0-3 loss to Star Horn Royal Club.

A similar narrative unfolded in summer. Young Glory did well in the regular season, but they couldn’t gain any ground in the playoffs, suffering back-to-back losses against Hyper Youth Gaming, 2133 Danmu Gaming, and Team WE Future. In the Promotion Tournament, they lost in a close 5-game series against Royal Never Give Up.

Young Glory ran out of steam in the 2016 LSPL Spring Split. Profit and his teammates struggled to keep up with the competition, and Young Glory finished the tournament in fifteenth place. After such a disappointing showing, he left the organization to become a substitute for SKT T1. He played in the 2016 KeSPA Cup, and SKT T1 went all the way to the Semifinals before losing 0-2 to ROX Tigers.

Profit only started in a handful of games in the 2017 LCK Spring Split. Even so, he managed to produce a 7-2 record, which caught the eye of Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP). And so, Profit left SKT T1 to play for them in the 2017 EU LCS Summer Split. However, NiP were a cut below the competition, and they finished the regular season with an abysmal 2-11 record. In the Promotion Tournament, a 1-3 loss to Giants Gaming knocked NiP down to the loser’s bracket. There, they were defeated by Schalke 04.

When Ninjas in Pyjamas were eliminated from the EU LCS, Profit joined Team ROCCAT.

Profit International Tournaments

Over the course of his career, Profit didn’t attend any international tournaments.
