Xerxe Domestic Career

Andrei “Xerxe” Dragomir began his LoL career on Crew e-Sports Club. However, his first notable showings happened on Dark Passage. Together with his teammates, he took part in the 2016 TCL Summer Split. With a 7-3-4 record (wins-ties-losses), Dark Passage finished the regular season in second place. In the playoffs, they took down HWA Gaming in a close 5-game series and proceeded to dismantle SuperMassive to claim the trophy.

When the off-season came, Xerxe left Dark Passage to join Unicorns of Love (UOL). He had a strong showing in the 2017 Spring Split, and Unicorns took first in the group stage. Their playoffs run kicked off with a promising 3-1 victory over Misfits, but the finals had them losing to G2 Esports. Even so, this was a great result for Xerxe. In fact, he made a name for himself as a highly aggressive jungler with a very unorthodox champion pool.

Unfortunately, things went worse in the 2017 Summer Split. While Unicorns still fared well in the regular season, their 9-4 record put them in second place. This caused them to clash with Misfits in the Quarterfinals, and Unicorns suffered a crushing 0-3 loss. Of course, they could still qualify for Worlds through the Regional Finals, but a 2-3 defeat against H2K put an end to these ambitions.

In the off-season, Xerxe went to Splyce.

Xerxe International Tournaments

On Unicorns of Love, Xerxe attended his first international tournament, the IEM Season 11 World Championship. A quick win against Kongdoo Monster showed some promise, but the following series against Flash Wolves had UOL lose with a 0-2 score. With that, they were knocked down into the loser’s bracket where Unicorns fell at the hand of G2 Esports.

Xerxe also went to the 2017 Rift Rivals (NA vs EU) event. Surprisingly enough, Unicorns of Love outperformed the likes of G2 and Fnatic to qualify for the finals with a 3-3 groups record. Their success was short-lived, though, and UOL suffered a crushing 0-3 loss against Team SoloMid.
