IEM Chengdu Format
There are two stages of competition to look forward to. Firstly, it all starts with a Group Stage with two double-elimination format (GSL) Groups:
- Each group has eight teams
- Group A – TBDx8
- Group B – TBDx8
- BO1 opening matches
- BO3 following matches
From each Group, progress to the Playoffs is as follows:
- Winners advance to the Semifinals
- Runners-up advance to the Quarterfinals as High Seeds
- 3rd advanced to the Quarterfinals as Low Seeds
Once in the Playoffs, a single-elimination bracket with BO3 matches will determine the competition.
