PUBG Announces 2026 Esports Roadmap

KRAFTON has announced the PUBG esports roadmap for 2026, marking the game’s eighth competitive season with an expanded slate of 12 PUBG Global Series (PGS) tournaments, the return of the PUBG Nations Cup (PNC) in June, and a season ending PUBG Global Championship (PGC) in December.

A major highlight is the switch from First Person Perspective (FPP) to Third Person Perspective (TPP), aimed at bridging the gap between casual play and pro viewing for broader appeal without sacrificing skill depth.

Support funds and prize pools are increasing to bolster ecosystem sustainability, though exact figures remain undisclosed.

Official Insights

“We’ve been in constant dialogue with teams and players. These events proved that a TPP based competitive scene can be both thrilling and sustainable,” stated KRAFTON, referencing feedback sessions and the PUBG Players Tour tests.

The roadmap promises more opportunities for teams amid community debates over the TPP change, with some fans voicing frustration: “TPP sucks in competitive, and nobody wants to watch it.”
