Overwatch 2 Teases China Exclusive Talon Event

Overwatch 2 is spotlighting its villainous Talon organization once more, this time with a region locked event exclusive to Chinese players launching December 31.

Teased via the official Overwatch 2 Weibo account and shared widely by news source OWCavalry on X, the event promises to “revisit Talon’s classic story moments, decrypt key character files, and earn in-game rewards.”

Talon Event Teaser Breakdown

The hype kicked off with a mysterious Talon symbol post, hinting at connections to ongoing or historical lore beats.

It escalated on December 29 with stunning new artwork showcasing a rogue’s gallery of Talon affiliates: Doomfist, Widowmaker, Sombra, the omnic Maximilien, Moira, Augusto Vialli, Mauga, Baptiste, Sigma, Gabriel Reyes (pre-Reaper), Reaper himself, and the newly introduced Vendetta.

Spotlight on Talon’s Key Players

Doomfist leads the current Talon roster in Overwatch 2, backed by playable members Moira, Reaper, Widowmaker, Sombra, Mauga, and Sigma. Baptiste is a notable ex-member, while Vendetta carries deep ties from recent Vendetta comic lore.

Non playable standouts like Maximilien a fan-favorite omnic glimpsed in his Vault, and Augusto Vialli add intrigue. Vialli, alongside Doomfist, stripped Vendetta’s family empire, as detailed by senior narrative designer Jude Stacey: “She’d done everything she could, but Vialli and Doomfist they stepped in and just everything she had was suddenly gone.”
