Electronic Arts is entering into competitive gaming with a massive $1 million prize pool for Battlefield 6’s battle royale mode, “Battlefield REDSEC.” The dual tier circuit featuring an Elite Series for pros and an Open Series for all kicks off in December, marking the franchise’s boldest esports push yet.

After years of struggling to adapt its signature large scale warfare to esports, Battlefield aims to rival giants like Counter-Strike and VALORANT with online tournaments across Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific regions.
Elite Series: Pro Draft
- Format: 50 team captains per region draft squads of four players, Battle Royale and Gauntlet modes over three qualifying days, with points based scoring.
- Advancement: Top 25 teams per region qualify for regional finals on December 18.
- Launch: First match day starts December 10 all online.
Open Series: Grassroots Pathway for All
- Format: Open to all skill levels, teams complete 10 Battle Royale and 10 Gauntlet matches across three days for cumulative scores.
- Advancement: Top 250 teams advance to season finals on January 17, 2026.
Launch: Begins December 12.

- Elite – Americas: $50,000 each (x3 qualifying days), Finals: $500,000
