ePremier League Kicks Off Eighth Season with Exciting Format Overhaul

The iconic ePremier League is back for its eighth instalment, bringing fresh twists to the competition as part of the broader EA Sports FC Pro series. Teaming up once again, the Premier League and Electronic Arts (EA) are inviting UK gamers to dive into the action.

This year’s edition boasts a revamped structure, a tempting £100,000 prize pot, and exclusive entry tickets to the 2026 FC Pro World Championship. Aspiring pros aged 16 and older from the UK can now register to align with their favourite Premier League club and battle for digital glory.

Revamped Roadmap: From Qualifiers to Championship Glory

The journey begins with a trio of online Open Qualifiers, kicking off as early as November 26-27, followed by December 3-4 and December 10-11. These high stakes weekends let players rack up points on Club Leaderboards, paving the way to the intense Playoffs in January 2026.

Top performers from EA FC 26 will clash in the Playoffs from January 14-22, adopting a thrilling Double Bracket Elimination setup. Victors here secure a fast pass to the Group Stage, where club loyalties truly shine.

A standout innovation this season? Clubs can scout and “Fast Track” standout EA FC 26 talent straight into the Group Stage. Plus, how a club fares during this phase will dictate its positioning in the subsequent Knockout rounds, adding layers of strategy and rivalry.

The Group Stage heats up February 28 to March 1, 2026, with clubs duking it out in head to head 1v1 showdowns. Tensions peak in the Knockout Stage on March 28, culminating in the Grand Finals on March 29—complete with an evolved bracket system designed to crown one ultimate victor.

Will Brass, the Premier League’s Chief Commercial Officer, captured the electric vibe: “Over the last seven seasons, we have seen some incredible storylines developing, with the very best players in the world going up against new and emerging talent. We can’t wait to see the drama unfold once again on EA SPORTS FC™ 26 and find out who will be crowned this season’s ePremier League Champion.”

Fresh Faces on the Pitch: Promotions Shake Up the Lineup

Mirroring the real world shake ups, this ePremier League welcomes promoted squads Leeds United, Burnley, and Sunderland. These newcomers join the fray, giving UK players even more clubs to champion as they chase esports immortality.

The new season follows Manchester City’s back to back titles in 2023/24 and 2024/25, secured by Donovan “Tekkz” Hunt and Matias Bonanno.
