If you haven’t been following along yet, this tourney’s got eight of the best squads battling it out in best of three madness until Sunday’s grand final goes best of five.

Falcons outclassed Group A by whitewashing runner up Passion UA, beating them 13-11 in Train before closing it out with a 13-10 match on Mirage.

FURIA struggled a bit more over in Group B, but still emerged victoriously against Vitality in another 2-1 dogfight. They started with a nail biter 13-11 on Nuke, dropped an equally close 16-13 heartbreaker on Overpass before swinging back to a convincing 13-5 on Inferno.

The remainder of the field is shaking out nicely as well. Spirit secured its third place spot in Group A by destroying The MongolZ 13-6 on Dust II, 13-10 on Ancient, while paiN Gaming got past TYLOO 2-1 in Group B (a Nuke win at 13-7, an Ancient loss of 9-13 and defeated TYLOO on Overpass with a score line of 13-10). Unfortunately, the MongolZ and TYLOO are packing their bags early, landing that 7-8th spot and $10K consolation.

The playoff quarterfinals Friday are going to be something else, here’s the schedule:

Winners progress straight to the semis vs. Falcons and  FURIA. Who’s got the edge? Falcons looking locked in, but FURIA could make themselves the dark horse. And don’t forget about Vitality, there’s nothing they would love more than to get revenge for that Overpass slip up.

Speaking of prizes it’s a juicy prize structure, $125K and two Frequent Flyer tokens for the victor, $75K for 2nd, $40K each for 3-4th, $25K get out check to everyone 5-6th.
