As mobile esports continues to develop, FIFA has come out with an all-new mobile titled called FIFA Rivals. In this discussion, we’re taking a closer look at this title and whether or not there’s potential.
FIFA Rivals – Mobile Esports Potential
FIFA Rivals hopes to offer one simple solution to its users – playing competitive football simulation on the go. To do so, FIFA has partnered with the likes of Mythical Games which has also worked on the following titles which offer a range of esports betting opportunities:
- NFL Rivals
- Nitro Nation World Tour
- Pudgy Party
One thing all these titles have in common is that none are serious mobile esports titles or esports games.
However, there is potential with FIFA Rivals considering the simplicity in the PvP matches. Here’s a look at the press release from Mattias Grafstrom, the FIFA Secretary General:

Considering the wording of “esports portfolio” there’s the opportunity for esports tournaments. Naturally, this all depends on the success of the title once it’s released – we’ll keep an eye out.
