Gumayusi Joins Hanwha Life Esports To Complete 2026 Superteam

Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) has officially signed star AD carry Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong from T1 on a two year contract, completing their highly anticipated 2026 roster. The move comes early in the LCK Stove League, following widespread rumors after Gumayusi’s departure from T1 after seven years with the organization.

Gumayusi was unveiled at HLE’s Camp One, marking his first steps with the team.

Gumayusi’s Journey

The three time World Champion, who earned Finals MVP at Worlds 2025, reflected on his T1 exit: โ€œNow, Iโ€™ll be leaving T1 to start a new journey to prove myself.โ€ Despite early season benching and online challenges, Gumayusi’s accolades at just 23 years old solidify his elite status.

In his exit interview, he added: โ€œLeaving a place thatโ€™s been so familiar and close is honestly really tough… But as long as there are fans who believe in me, I wonโ€™t stop.โ€ Gumayusi emphasized his goal to become the best in the world.

Addressing his move, he stated: โ€œThe direction HLE wanted to go perfectly aligned with my personal goalsโ€ฆ Iโ€™m aware of the immense pressure that comes with filling the shoes of Park โ€˜Viperโ€™ Do-hyeon, and Iโ€™ll do my best to lead the team into victory.โ€

HLE’s Powerhouse 2026 Roster Locked In

Gumayusi reunites with former T1 teammate Choi “Zeus” Woo-je, joining resigned stars Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo and Yoo “Delight” Hwan-joong, plus LPL returnee Seo “Kanavi” Jin-hyeok. This “superteam” is poised to challenge T1 and Gen.G.

Fans anticipate entertaining matchups, including Gumayusi versus his ex T1 botlane partner Ryu “Keria” Min-seok and Delight against Kim “Peyz” Soo-hwan.

With HLE’s recent successes and this star studded lineup, the 2026 LCK season promises intense competition as they aim for domestic dominance and Worlds glory.
