Halo World Champion Lqgend Headlines Vancouver Surge’s CDL Black Ops 7 Roster
Vancouver Surge, the Call of Duty League (CDL) franchise owned by Enthusiast Gaming and Canucks Sports & Entertainment, revealed its high potential roster for the 2026 Black Ops 7 season on November 18. One of the final teams to announce ahead of December’s kickoff.

Leading the charge is 22-year-old French phenom Kaci “Lqgend” Sabri, the 2024 Halo World Champion with OpTic Gaming Halo (formerly Spacestation Gaming), who transitions to CoD post-2025 HCS. He joins Ronald “Abe” Abraham, Isiah “Gwinn” Gwinn, and Noah “Lunarz” Whillock in a youthful squad with tons of raw talent and CDL experience.
This marks the latest Halo to CoD crossover, echoing successes of Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro (two-time world champ) and Matthew “FormaL” Piper. Gwinn debuted with 2023 Carolina Royal Ravens (BP Rookie Runner-up), while Abe and Lunarz logged Black Ops 6 minutes with Toronto Ultra/KOI and LA Guerrillas M8.
Rebuild Under New Leadership
After an impressive Black Ops 6 campaign, three Major/Champs runner up finishes, four LAN grand finals. Surge released its entire roster (Abuzah, 04, Nastie, Neptune, coach Rambo) in August.
Esports agency XDOTG assumed operations in November, installing Ricky “Atura” Lugo challengers standout as Head Coach to lead this “dark horse” potential.
Lqgend tweeted:
Excited for this year, really grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to play with the boys. #DrownThemOut https://t.co/QEoBu3GpSA
