Karmine Corp capped a flawless group stage with gritty bracket wins to claim the Europe regional for RLCS Boston Major Open 2, while MIBR powered through South America, topping Team Secret twice en route to victory.
Both squads notched their second Open triumph this season, inching closer to the season’s first Major in Boston, Massachusetts.
Karmine Corp’s Comeback Kings
Karmine Corp went 3-0 in Group B, dismantling Gentle Mates and NOVO Esports.
- Upper Bracket Quarter-Finals: Edged 2 Danes 1 Bruv 4-3 in a seven game thriller.
- Semi-Finals: Overpowered Team Vitality 4-1 after dropping the opener 3-2, reeling off four straight.
- Grand Final: Staged an epic reverse sweep vs. Ninjas in Pyjamas, rallying from 1-3 down to win 4-3. Game seven went to overtime, sealed 2-1 after two minutes.
KC now leads EU standings with 33 points and has secured a Boston Major spot via their Kick-Off Weekend win.
MIBR’s Relentless Grind
MIBR cruised Swiss Stage with three wins, then dominated bracket play.
- Quarter-Finals: 3-1 over Fear of God.
- Semi-Finals: Shutout Three Point Shooters 3-0.
- Upper Bracket Quarter-Finals: Crushed Team Secret 4-0.
- Upper Bracket Semi-Finals: Held off Amethyst 4-3 after an early lead.
- Grand Final: Topped Secret again 4-2, winning games two through four decisively, then 2-1 and 3-2.
MIBR tops SA with 25 points their first Open win after runner up to FURIA in Open 1 and eyes qualification in Open 3 (Jan. 23–Feb. 1).
