Marvel Rivals PlayStation Cup 2026 Kicks Off with Open Registrations

NetEase Games has officially opened registrations for the first Marvel Rivals PlayStation Cup of 2026, marking the start of the game’s official esports calendar for the year.

This exclusive tournament is open only to players on PS4 and PS5, featuring monthly open bracket competitions where teams can earn valuable in game rewards based on their performance.

The January 2026 edition is divided into two splits:

This event coincides with the launch of Season 6: Night at the Museum on January 16, which introduces new heroes like Deadpool and another yet to be confirmed character (rumored to be Elsa Bloodstone).

Updated Tournament Format

The 2026 PlayStation Cup introduces a new structure, matches continue until a team reaches three wins or two losses, at which point their run ends, and rewards are distributed accordingly. This creates a more dynamic and forgiving experience compared to previous events.

Rewards Breakdown

All rewards are per player and include in game units, exclusive faction trophies, and titles:

(Note: The previous December 2025 cup offered boosted prizes, including up to 12,000 Units per group.)

Eligibility and How to Register

  1. Launch Marvel Rivals on your PS4 or PS5.
  2. Go to the Tournaments tab at the top of the screen.
  3. Select Marvel Rivals PlayStation Cups.
  4. Choose your region.
  5. Queue up with your faction and start competing.

Full terms and conditions are available on the official PlayStation site.

Looking Ahead in Marvel Rivals Esports

The PlayStation Cup serves as an accessible entry point into the competitive scene. Later in 2026, the Marvel Rivals Ignite circuit returns with a $3 million prize pool, an updated format across four regions, and a pre season starting in April.

Applications are currently open for the Ignite Partner Programme (offering teams financial incentives like revenue shares from in-game bundles) and caster positions.
