Many people were skeptical when NAVI first decided to make the transition to an international roster, but they seem to have found their groove and are getting better and better with each tournament.

Impressive wins against Complexity and G2 netted them a spot in the Group C final together with some additional time to prepare for their next opponent, which turned out to be G2.

NAVI’s results largely depend on the form of Mihai “iM” Ivan, who’s the team’s primary playmaker. If he doesn’t show up in the rematch, NAVI could struggle to make it to the BLAST Spring Final in London.

G2

G2’s debut event with Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas behind them has been a mixed bag of results thus far.

Although they did convincingly best NIP on two occasions, they failed to pull through in their Upper Final bout against NAVI. Results aside, Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov has been absolutely mesmerizing on the server, dominating his opponents with the AWP, as well as the rifle.

If the 18-year-old manages to keep up that sort of level throughout the year, then there is no doubt that G2 will be a championship contender team at every event they attend.

According to the Thunderpick odds, G2 are the narrow favorites to beat NAVI and advance to the BLAST Spring Final, without having to battle through the BLAST Showdown. However, rematches are always unpredictable, so anything could happen.
