Kaysan’s Showdown VIII kicked off the Black Ops 7 competitive season with a bang, $50,000 double-elimination LAN in Dallas featuring four powerhouse CDL squads. Paris Gentle Mates (Sib, Ghosty, Envoy, Neptune), OpTic Texas (Dashy, Huke, Mercules, Shotzzy), LA Thieves, and FaZe Vegas. The fast paced BO5/BO7 format on maps like Blackheart, Scar, and Den delivered non stop action, streamed by FaZe Clan and Kaysan.
Gentle Mates, the French organisation revamped its 2026 roster after a rough prior year, entered as underdogs but dominated early, setting up an epic Grand Final rematch against the three time defending champs.

But Paris fired back strong, map 2 Scar Search & Destroy fell 6-4 in a bomb plant clinic, showcasing Sib’s clutch M15 AR.
Exposure Control on Map 3 was pure chaos, PAR edging 4-3 amid desperate hill swaps. Colossus Hardpoint turned into a demolition, Gentle Mates cruising 250-124 with flawless rotations and Ghosty’s multi kill streaks. The rout concluded on Den SnD (6-2), highlighted by Neptune and coach Dan Gilmour’s impressive 2v4 post plant hold, Ghosty’s sealing slayer capping the 4-1 sweep.
