PGL Debuts in MLBB with Challengers EU Open Qualifier
Tournament organiser PGL has announced the PGL MLBB Challengers EU Open Qualifier, marking its first venture into Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) esports.
Registrations are now open via Battlefy, with the single elimination qualifier kicking off January 13 at 17:00 CET (check in opens 30 minutes prior). The event spans January 13-14, featuring mostly Bo1 matches and Bo3 for advancement rounds. Eight teams will advance to the Main Event from January 16-18.

Main Event Format
The main event features a double elimination bracket with random seeding:
- Upper Bracket Round 1: Bo3
- Lower Bracket Rounds 1-3: Bo3
- Upper Bracket Round 2 & Final: Bo5
- Lower Bracket Final: Bo5
- Grand Final (after 1 hour break): Bo7
Prize Pool Breakdown
A €5,000 prize pool is available, including €300 for MVP:
- 1st place: €2,000
- 2nd place: €1,200
- 3rd place: €700
- 4th place: €300
- 5th-6th place: €200 each
- 7th-8th place: €50 each

MLBB Esports Outlook for 2026
Post M7, the season ramps up with MLBB Super League Thailand S1 in February. Key changes include franchising for MPL leagues (e.g. Malaysia, following Indonesia/Philippines) and the North America Challenger Tournament’s return.
