Rainbow Six Siege X’s Operation Fortress Rework Incoming

The classic Operation Wind Bastion map, Fortress, is set for a significant overhaul.

Ubisoft has dropped the exciting news that Fortress is getting a fresh rework in the next chapter of Rainbow Six Siege X: Operation Tenfold Pursuit. Expect the full scoop during a reveal stream on November 16 at 6 PM CET, just in time to hype up the BLAST R6 Major Munich grand finals.

Originally introduced to the game alongside Operation Wind Bastion on December 4, 2018, Fortress has lingered in players and developers minds for its untapped potential. Back then, it started as a ranked contender, but it struggled to carve out a lasting spot in the pro scene.

Fast forward seven years, and Ubisoft is giving it the glow up it deserves, slotting it back into the competitive map rotation with Operation Tenfold Pursuit.

While the exact rollout date for the new season remains under wraps, the timing lines up nicely: With the announcement hitting on November 16, we’re betting on a Test Server kickoff as early as Monday, November 17. That paves the way for the live drop sometime between December 2 and 3.
