Peyz is the Prodigy with Pedigree
Peyz burst onto the scene via Gen.G Academy in 2020, earning promotion to Challengers and then the main roster by 2022. Which, he became the youngest bot laner to win an LCK title, securing multiple domestic crowns and the 2024 MSI championship. His highlight? A record shattering 28 kills including a Kalista pentakill in the MSI 2024 Grand Finals Game 2.
He was named LCK Rookie of the Year, Finals MVP, and a two time 1st All Pro Team member, Peyz was destroying opponents at 17 and 18. After parting with Gen.G post 2024 Worlds semifinals, he joined JDG for 2025, delivering consistent carries amid roster turmoil where they missed out on this year Worlds.
Filling Gumayusi’s Void
T1’s 2025 was historic, their sixth Worlds title and first ever three peat, despite no LCK splits. Gumayusi’s exit after seven years and three Worlds rings left a massive gap, but Peyz long rumored as the top target steps in alongside elite talent.
The lineup: Top: Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon (extended 2026), Jungle: Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun (through 2026), Mid: Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok (through 2029), ADC: Peyz, Support: Ryu “Keria” Min-seok (through 2026).
Four Peat Glory?
Peyz’s aggressive style pairs perfectly with Keria’s elite roaming, forming a bot lane primed to dominate. T1 eyes reclaiming MSI glory absent since 2017 while chasing a unprecedented fourth straight Worlds. With Peyz locked long term at a reported team friendly rate, T1 signals faith in his growth.
The First tests for this new squad will be at the Red Bull League of Its Own (Nov 29) and KeSPA Cup (Dec 6). As the offseason sizzles, T1 remains LCK favorites.
