Team Liquid PH and Aurora Gaming secure MLBB M7 Knockouts
The MLBB M7 World Championship Swiss Stage delivered exciting developments on Day 5, as Team Liquid PH and both rosters of Aurora Gaming (from the Philippines and Turkey) secured their places in the Knockout Stage.
Team Liquid PH delivered a commanding performance, while the Aurora squads navigated tougher, more competitive series to advance.
Philippine Teams Lock In Knockout Berths
Team Liquid PH and Aurora PH were among the favourites to reach the Knockouts earlier in the Swiss Stage, but both faced unexpected setbacks along the way. Despite those hurdles, they bounced back strongly.
Team Liquid PH recovered from a tight 2-1 defeat to Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants by facing Yangon Galacticos a squad that had previously upset ONIC. The experienced Filipino roster showcased superior map control, macro decision making, and execution, completely shutting down Yangon’s opportunities. They secured a clean 2-0 victory, proving their status as one of the tournament’s most seasoned teams.

Aurora PH took on Team Secret, who had endured a grueling Swiss Stage run against top competition like Selangor Red Giants and ONIC. Team Secret started strong in Game 1, controlling the early and mid game while building a solid lead. However, disaster struck during a crucial third Lord contest, Aurora PH wiped out the entire enemy team and flipped the momentum to steal the map. Game 2 remained intense, with both sides exchanging kills early on. Aurora PH ultimately pulled ahead in key late game teamfights, completing the 2-0 sweep and punching their ticket to the Knockouts.

Aurora Turkey Edges Out a Thriller
Aurora Gaming’s Turkish lineup also advanced after a hard-fought 2-1 series against Middle Eastern powerhouse Team Falcons. In Game 1, Aurora snowballed an early advantage, boosted by an unconventional pick ‘Tienzy’ on Harley the hero’s first appearance on the global stage since M3 in 2021. Game 2 saw Aurora building a comfortable lead, but Team Falcons mounted an impressive comeback from a 4,000 gold deficit to force a decisive third game. Game 3 hinged on a pivotal 17 minute Lord fight, where Aurora emerged victorious to clinch the series.
With these results, the MLBB M7 Championship Knockout Stage now features strong representation from the Philippines via Team Liquid PH and Aurora PH, plus Aurora Turkey’s international flair. Only three more spots remain in the Swiss Stage, with nine teams battling over the next two days for a chance to join them.
