Warzone Resurgence Series Joins CDL 2026
Activision has unveiled the Call of Duty: Warzone Resurgence Series (COD: WRS) for 2026, a new esports circuit integrating open battle royale competitions with Call of Duty League (CDL) Majors.

Launching in February, the series mixes online qualifiers and offline LAN finals, culminating in a Championship at the Esports World Cup (EWC) in Riyadh without impacting CDL standings.
This unified platform bridges the franchise league and open Resurgence scene, featuring a massive $1.2 million USD prize pool across two LAN events and the grand finale.

The COD: WRS employs a multi stage setup:
- Open Online Qualifiers: Regional events in Trios format for North America and Europe.

- Qualification Paths: Top performers secure direct spots to the Championship; additional qualifiers TBA.
Non-NA/EU players can join LAN opens and Championship qualifiers.
