WSOW Champion Hisoka Switches from Warzone to Call of Duty Challengers

Reigning World Series of Warzone winner and Esports World Cup champion Kasimili ‘Hisoka’ Tongamoa has announced his intention to compete in the Call of Duty Challengers scene for Black Ops 7, marking a major shift from battle royale to the competitive multiplayer ladder.

The in game leader for Team Falcons revealed the move via a short social media post on January 7, 2026, sparking immediate reactions from fans as another top Warzone talent eyes the traditional CoD esports path.

Call of Duty Challengers serves as the open second tier circuit, giving amateur and rising teams a chance to prove themselves against pros. The first Elite event of the season is underway, running from January 7 to 22 for top European and North American squads.

Part of a Growing Trend

Hisoka joins a wave of high profile transitions:

With Activision still silent on the 2026 Warzone esports calendar following the 2025 WSOW wrap up and commemorative in game banners added in December, the uncertainty is pushing stars like Hisoka toward the structured CDL pathway.

If the switch sticks, all eyes will be on whether Hisoka’s elite Warzone decision making and mechanics translate to Black Ops 7’s fast paced multiplayer. The Challengers scene is stacked, but a proven winner like him could shake things up fast.
