Triple Elimination Format Ushers in a New Era

VCT EMEA Kickoff 2026 brackets

For 2026, Kickoff introduces a triple elimination bracket, giving every team three lives before elimination: starting in the upper bracket, dropping to middle after one loss, and lower after two. Unlike traditional formats, there are three separate grand finals one each for upper, middle, and lower brackets all best of five. The winner of each secures a Masters Santiago berth, while all other matches are best of three.

Championship Points are also on the line, 4 for 1st, 3 for 2nd, 2 for 3rd, and 1 for 4th overall with the season’s top two earners qualifying for VALORANT Champions Shanghai.

The 12 team field consists of 10 partnered organizations and two Ascension winners (PCIFIC Esports and ULF Esports).
