donk Stars as Team Spirit Sweep MOUZ Into BLAST Bounty Grand Final
Team Spirit eliminated MOUZ 2-0 in the BLAST Bounty Season 2 semifinals, with Danil ‘donk’ Kryshkovets delivering a 42/30, 1.4 rating, 91.7 ADR performance that rendered the series non-competitive after Spirit overturned an 8-4 deficit on Ancient to close it out in overtime.
Ancient Overtime, Mirage Dominance
MOUZ had a promising start on Ancient, winning the first half 8-4. Spirit responded after the side switch by raising their tempo and forcing overtime, eventually closing out 16-14 – the kind of half-time adjustment that has defined this Spirit roster across multiple deep tournament runs in 2025.
Mirage was never a contest. Spirit dominated from start to finish, taking the first half 10-2 and comfortably sealing the map and series 2-0, confirming their grand final spot. MOUZ, who had arrived in the semifinals off the back of wins over OG, B8, and Astralis – the latter considered the toughest opponent in their bracket run – had no answer for Spirit’s control across both maps.
The result carried an added layer of narrative: MOUZ and Spirit had only recently clashed in a grand final, where Spirit secured a commanding 3-0 victory in a bo5 format at IEM Cologne 2025. The BLAST Bounty semifinal offered MOUZ a chance to reverse that verdict, and the early rounds of Ancient suggested they might capitalise – ultimately, Spirit closed the door in the same fashion.
donk’s MVP Case Is Straightforward
donk’s series numbers – 42 kills, 30 deaths, 91.7 ADR, 1.4 rating – were the clearest individual differential across both maps. The key factor behind Spirit’s victory was his brilliant performance, which made him the undisputed MVP of the series. His output, combined with the team’s overall discipline and coordination, makes Spirit the main contender for the trophy heading into the grand final.
Grand Final Bracket
Spirit advance to the BLAST Bounty Season 2 grand final, where they will face the winner of the Vitality versus The Mongolz semifinal. Regardless of that outcome, both opponents present a legitimate test on their own terms.
MOUZ exit at the semifinal stage, falling to Spirit once more after their earlier grand final meeting. Whether that registers as a rivalry or simply as a hierarchy problem is a question their next tournament cycle will have to answer.
