DreamHack Summer Open 2020: CSGO tournament preview
Despite the cancelations of live esports events around the world, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) fans can still look forward to this year’s DreamHack Open. The DreamHack Summer Open 2020 will still be hosted this year and you can expect a great lineup of matches featuring amazing CS:GO pro players. Aspiring teams have used the DreamHack circuit to prove their talent, so you might just witness the next big CS:GO stars this year.
While some major esports tournaments have been completely canceled, CS:GO fans are lucky to still have the DreamHack Summer Open 2020. Even though fans will be watching from home they can still expect to have a blast watching all the intense matches.

The Summer Open 2020 will feature a total of 16 teams from both Europe and North America. Team lists for each region are listed below so you can know which teams will be competing and the players making up each of them.

All teams will be competing in regional categories at the DreamHack open and there will be 6 invited teams and 2 qualified teams. The qualified teams will compete during stage 2 of the DreamHack tournament, which will happen Aug 8 – 16. Fans will be able to watch all matches from the DreamHack summer open 2020 on their official Twitch channel.
DreamHack open tournament format
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all matches for the DreamHack 2020 summer open will feature teams competing remotely. Despite having to go remote, fans can still expect to see plenty of CS:GO action featuring great talent and large prize pools.
Each tournament will feature a prize pool of $100,000 that teams from each region will compete for. There will even be an additional day of matches to make sure that each match is played in a best-of-three format.
