CDL Announces $75K Monster Energy Invitational to Kick Off Black Ops 7
The Call of Duty League (CDL) is turning up the pre season temperature with its latest invite which has got pros and underdogs clashing. Monster Energy is in collaboration with Black Ops 7 for this event, a combination of all 12 CDL franchises and four entitled Challengers teams competing for $75,000 (£51,117).
It all goes down on November 22-23, 2025, right behind the launch of Black Ops 7 and a handy lead in to December full season drop.

The Breakdown: What to Expect

- The Lineup: Your favorites from the 12 CDL teams (think OpTic, FaZe, and the rest of the elite) plus four Challengers wild cards: OMiT, Team WaR, tBush Gaming, and the Stallions. That’s 16 squads total.

With this event locked in, CDL’s bumping their sanctioned tourneys to six for the year: four Majors split between Europe and North America, wrapping with the epic Championship in July.

Monster’s no stranger to the CoD scene, they’ve been with the CDL since 2023 and very happy with there partnership and looking to continue this going into year three in 2026.
Invites Everywhere: The Flank Joins the Fray
Call of Duty’s invitational wave is real and it’s clever in terms of creating buzz without the season long stake risks. Just ahead of Monster’s event, The Flank Esports Show is hosting their own invitational on November 18th. It is a random team draws fighting for $20K (~£15,197)—crazy to keep things entertaining and unpredictable.
