In a match that will go down in Valorant history, MIBR GC pulled off a surprising 2-1 series victory over reigning champions G2 Gozen at the VCT Game Changers Championship in Seoul. The Brazilian underdogs came back from massive deficits on two maps, culminating in overtime heroics that sent G2 packing and extended their run.

MIBR kicked off strong on their Bind pick, surging to a 8-4 halftime advantage with a bold Yoru Raze setup. G2 Gozen rallied fiercely, stringing together eight unanswered rounds for a 12-10 edge. But MIBR dug deep, forcing overtime and sealing the map 14-12 to steal the first point.

G2 flipped the script on Sunset, their selection, smothering MIBR 13-5 behind a rock solid Chamber Sage defence. Aleyna “Vania” Keskin capped it with a ace, levelling the series and setting up a do or die Split.

Map 3

Dejavu struck early on Split as G2 quickly managed to a 10-2 lead,  they hit map point at 12-8 on a monster 3K. Enter MIBR’s unbreakable spirit, Paula “bstrdd” Naguil, Giulia “lissA” Lissa, and Nicolas “srN” Niederauer put together a impressive rally, knotting it at 12-12 before dominating overtime for the win. This ranks as the most improbable turnaround in Game Changers Championship history.

G2 Gozen’s top three streak ends here the first miss since the circuit’s inception. MIBR, fresh from Americas Last Chance Qualifier, now tackles KRÜ Blaze in the lower bracket semifinal. The victor awaits either Team Liquid Brazil or Shopify Rebellion Gold in the grand final on November 30, with $500,000 up for grabs.
