ESI Lisbon 2024: Esports Leaders Descend on the ‘City of Light’
Lisbon will be the global hub for all things esports from September 23rd – 25th, with Esports Insider hosting ESI Lisbon 2024.
Taking place at the MEO Arena, this major event will see industry experts and aficionados head to the Portuguese capital for three days of networking, talks and discussion.
Key ESI Lisbon 2024 Events
The itinerary is looking packed in Lisbon, with events including multiple panel discussions between industry authorities.
One of the most intriguing gatherings has to be the “Play By The Rules” legal forum. This sees a collaboration between Esports Legal News, Rodolphe Ruffié-Farrugia of Clifford Chance, and Leonid Shmatenko of Eversheds Sutherland. This is an inaugural event that aims to establish a benchmark for esports legal conferences around the globe.
Elsewhere, on 23rd September there will be an exclusive meeting of minds in Esports Leaders; this is the first edition of an invitation-only event that will offer a fast-paced meeting opportunity for the true leaders of the esports industry, including founders, elite teams, publishers and more.
The event itinerary of ESI Lisbon 2024 takes place across three separate areas of the MEO Arena – The Auditorium, Town Hall, and Workshop Room. Each will be buzzing with activity from the moment that doors open at 10am on each day.

Among the hundreds of attendees will be two representatives of Esports.net and Catena Media in Gianfranco Capozzi, Director of Esports, and Ido Brosh in Esports Business Development.
Like EsportsBets.com, Esports.net is a publication of lead generation group Catena Media and both Capozzi and Brosh will be present for the Esports Leaders event on 23rd September, while Brosh will also be moderating the “Bettor, or Worse? The state of esports wagering in 2024” panel, which is taking place in the Auditorium at 16:00 BST.
With both Capozzi and Brosh industry veterans, they will be looking to share their experience to contribute to this major global esports event at ESI Lisbon 2024 and showcase the agenda-setting capabilities of Esports.net, a leading news site for the industry.
ESI Film Festival
Among the plethora of exciting events at the MEO Arena in Lisbon is the ESI Film Festival which pledges to “shine a light on stories behind the screens”.
This event builds on a successful 2023 festival which took place in London. The 2024 edition is even bigger with extra categories and will also showcase short films on select themes.
Film contributors to the festival are vying for a share of the €6k prize pool, which is being provided by ESG Gaming, a not-for-profit partner.
