OpTic Gaming – Roaring Home Favourites
After finishing 2nd at the Halo World Championship 2024, this roster seemingly stopped believing in itself. Bearing this in mind, the entire roster was swapped out and the likes of “Bound”, “Lqgend” and “Renegade” signed around the veteran “FormaL”.
If you can’t beat them – buy them. Two of the new signings joined from the Spacestation that won Halo World Championship.
Since reforming in January, OpTic Gaming has finished second at five regional tournaments, every time losing to Shopify Rebellion.
Seemingly, Halo odds are favouring them considering the home-crowd advantage. However, if one looks at the statistics, Shopify Rebellion are the true favourites.
Shopify Rebellion – Grand Final Giants
Historically, Shopify Rebellion doesn’t have the greatest legacy in competitive Halo. However, after a promising season in 2024, they decided to rebuild their roster for 2025 with hopes of winning with some of the best Halo players.
Signing three new players too, this team has been on an absolute tear by winning eight regional tournaments in 2025 so far. More significantly, six of those wins came at the hands of Grand Final matches against OpTic Gaming.
Anyone who says Shopify Rebellion aren’t clear favourites is a rampant OpTic fan. We’re hoping for a Shopify vs OpTic Grand Final.
FaZe Clan & Spacestation – HCS Arlington Major
Considering how dominant OpTic and Shopify have been, all other teams fall out of earshot. The only two teams that could maybe challenge them are FaZe and Spacestation Gaming.
Despite an incredible season and winning the Halo World Championship, Spacestation didn’t hesitate to sell their players once OpTic Gaming came knocking. Naturally, the roster has lost some firepower, although consistently placed in the top 4 at all six recent regional NA tournaments.
Now FaZe is highly rated by esports betting sites, but we’d put them down a notch from Spacestation Gaming. Signing a roster on March 20th, they have had little time to practice. However, in that time they had strong showings regionally.
