Michał “Kami” Kamiński“is has been putting up numbers for Gaimin Gladiators since the middle of 2023. The Polish Fortnite pro joins the $1 million dollar winnings crew thanks to his impressive placements in Epic’s runaway success story. He has impressive finishes in the Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS) and Gamers8 and took home the lion’s share of their prize pools. Kami is one to watch throughout 2024 and beyond.

Who is Kami?
Kami has been grinding Fortnite since 2019 after a slow start with a 48th place in the Fortnite World Cup online open. Of course, this result didn’t get close to winning the big cash prize. As one of the relatively young Fortnite talents that exploded onto the scene, not much is known about him besides his in game performances and his duos in the game.
Kami saw early success with static teammate Setty. The duo are very often seen together in the server and on the big stage.
Kami’s rise to fame
That slow start in the game’s first year didn’t keep Kami down. He wasn’t able secure a top 10 placement in an A tier or higher event until March of 2020. But despite that, the early money in Fortnite allowed him to focus his efforts on becoming the Fortnite phenomenom he is today.
A month after that first A tier top 10, he signed very briefly with TheCartel Esports. In September of that year, he took on a a more stable team slot with Gamma Gaming, with the partnership lasting until late 2021. It wouldn’t be until after he left Gamma Gaming that he reached that acclaimed 6 digit prizing.
With a 1st place at the Season 8 FNCS. The Polish trio of Kami, Setty and Teeq improved on their 4th place finish the month prior to reach that first big win.
They went on to follow it up with finishing the FNCS European 2021 Grand Finals in 2nd place the month after. This hot streak put all of them on notice, with Setty and Kami joining German esports org Become Legends.
After leaving at the beginning of 2023, some inconsistent finishes had Kami picking up some steady prizing from small prizes at Epic Games events. That was until he signed with Gaimin Gladiators. Gaimin Gladiators, fresh off their hot streak in Dota 2 that has seen them once again earn a spot at The International 2024, replicated that success with Kami. He lifted the trophy at Gamers8 just 3 days later alongside Jakpo.
How does Kami make money?
Kami’s total lifetime winnings sit just shy of $1.5 million dollars since his start in Fortnite in 2019. His estimated earnings from prizepools are $1,487,600 and has earned over $50,000 from competition alone in 2024.
In addition to his impressive placements, the Polish player has played for 4 different orgs, with the most notable, Gaimin Gladiators likely paying a pretty penny. While salary listings are not public, it would be reasonable to assume that the team, which has earned over $5 million in prizing across several games (mostly Dota 2) can afford to pa a hefty sum to keep their players happy.
Streaming and content creation
The organization’s financial backing is aided by blockchain companies, however Kami himself also has individual sponsors as a content creator. His stream overlays can be seen sporting a G4Skins banner with a custom code, and as a top Fortnite creator, he also has his own code, each that provide kickbacks from their respective platforms.
Despite solid numbers in terms of viewership and followers, Kami’s sub count isn’t sky high like other Fortnite competitors such as EpikWhale. Over on YouTube content creation, things do fair much better, he’s cracked 8 million views on YouTube, with a healthy 120K subscriber base, so some steady income alongside his player salary and tournament winnings comes in every month.

As a much younger player, there’s not much outside of his in-game achievements and resulting content creation bolstering his net worth. His salary isn’t public, as is the norm for younger talent, and the YouTube / Twitch numbers aren’t as high as a budding content creator would hope.
He is not as highly sought after when compared to some other breakout talents in the scene, so a safe estimate of his net worth would be near that of his total prize pool earnings: north of $1 million USD.
Future Prospects
His content numbers may be low, but as a frequently well placing player who creates content for non English speakers, there is room for market growth on Kami’s channels. If Gaimin Gladiators or those close to Kami can network and seek growth opportunities for the Pole, those middling content creation numbers can likely blossom into something much bigger.
