MOUZ Overturn 2-10 Nuke Deficit to Eliminate GamerLegion

MOUZ scraped past GamerLegion 2-1 (13-11 Mirage, 19-22 Ancient, 13-11 Nuke) to book their place in the Esports World Cup 2026 quarter-finals. MOUZ recovered from 2-10 down on Nuke to eliminate GamerLegion and Fredrik “Rez” Sterner, leaving no Swedish players in the CS2 playoff bracket.

A Nuke Comeback Seals the Series

MOUZ took Mirage 13-11 after GamerLegion fought back from an early deficit but could not close the map. Ancient then swung the other way as GamerLegion forced overtime and eventually won 22-19 after three extra periods, sending the series to a deciding map.

GamerLegion made a strong start on Nuke, winning the first four rounds on the CT side. Rez had 14 frags by the side switch as GamerLegion built a 10-2 lead. MOUZ responded by winning eight consecutive rounds to level the score, however, before taking the map 13-11. Tauson produced a 1v2 clutch to help GamerLegion secure one round on the T side, but MOUZ closed out the series.

MOUZ Move Into the Quarter-Finals

The victory sends MOUZ into a quarter-final against FUT on 21 August, with the winner moving further through the EWC bracket, as outlined in the full EWC 2026 CS2 playoff bracket breakdown. GamerLegion are eliminated after pushing MOUZ to a deciding map.

The result also ends the tournament for Swedish players. Earlier in the evening, Love “Phzy” Smidebrant’s Astralis lost 2-1 to G2 Esports despite winning the opening map, while Rez and GamerLegion were eliminated by MOUZ.
