MSI Play-In Lower Bracket Betting Preview

With $250,000 on the line, this first stage of the Mid-Season Invitational features eight teams who didn’t quite earn their spot in the Bracket Stage.

Instead, these teams have to fight through a double elimination bracket where only the top 3 will join the remainder of the competition in the Bracket Stage, against the MSI odds.

In this particular betting preview, we’ll be taking a look at the upcoming Play-In Lower Bracket matches for MSI as scheduled below:

May 6th 2023 – Lower Bracket Round 2

Taking place tomorrow, we’ll be previewing these matches using odds thanks to Pinnacle. Feel free to learn more about the esports betting site in our Pinnacle review.

Golden Guardians vs Rainbow7 Odds and Predictions

MSI Play-In Lower Bracket Betting Preview

Our first match in this MSI betting preview is one which features a clear favourite.

So far in this tournament, Golden Guardians have maintained the momentum of placing second at the LCS Spring 2023 split.

Easily taking care of GAM Esports in the opening Upper Bracket matches, qualification was taken away from them by the favourites, Bilibili Gaming.

Losing in a 2-1 scoreline, now they’ve fallen to face Rainbow7.

Starting in the Lower Bracket, Rainbow7 progressed to this point after also taking down GAM Esports in a 2-1 scoreline.

Considering how both teams matched up against GAM Esports, Golden Guardians are definitely the favourites in this match-up against the LLA heroes, Rainbow7.

PSG Talon vs LOUD Odds and Predictions

The second LoL betting opportunity featured by League of Legends betting sites is PSG Talon vs LOUD.

As the champions of the Pacific Champions Series, PSG Talon has made it to the main stage of every Mid-Season Invitational since 2021.

So far in the competition, they started strong with a sweep over DetonatioN FocusMe, but faced a brick wall in their match against G2 Esports.

Losing 2-0, they’re now up against LOUD. Starting their journey with a surprising victory against DetonatioN FocusMe, the Brazilian team is certainly the underdog in this situation.

Indeed, if Talon don’t recover from their loss against PSG Talon, LOUD could easily take advantage in this closely contested match. Moreover, the tight odds make the match a great opportunity to make the most of MSI 2023 bonuses.
