G2 Ares, Liquid & fnatic Lead $60K VRS Tier-2 CS2 Playoff Bracket

The group stage of Stake Pulse Beat I – the inaugural stop on Black Molly Entertainment’s new VRS Tier-2 CS2 circuit in Stockholm – has concluded, locking in an eight-team single-elimination playoff bracket headlined by G2 Ares, Team Liquid, fnatic, and Acend across four quarterfinal BO3s scheduled for August 4 at BME Studio.

Quarterfinal Bracket

The four confirmed quarterfinals are staggered across the day. At 01:00 AM, G2 Ares take on Johnny Speeds, who navigated their Group D matches against fnatic, Lilmix, and Metizport to reach the playoff stage.

At 04:00 AM, Acend faces Betclic Apogee Esports, with the Liquid vs. 9INE matchup following at 07:00 AM. fnatic meet Esport Academy Copenhagen in a quarterfinal scheduled for 10:00 AM. All four matches are BO3. On August 5, two semifinals are scheduled at 03:00 AM and 06:00 AM respectively, with the grand final set for 09:00 AM.

Group Stage Summary

Sixteen teams entered across four GSL groups, with the top two from each advancing. Group D produced the bracket’s most competitive phase, with fnatic, Johnny Speeds, Lilmix, and Metizport all playing out their round-robin on August 3.

Group C similarly ran to completion, with 9INE and Acend emerging from a pool that also included 6666 Esports and BRUTE. Group B featured Team Liquid and Betclic Apogee Esports alongside Atputies and The Last Resort, with both Liquid and Betclic Apogee Esports appearing in the quarterfinal bracket.

Tournament Format and Stakes

Beat I carries a $60,000 prize pool with a winner’s share of $20,000, second place taking $8,000, and the two semifinal losers each collecting $6,000. Quarterfinal exits pay $4,000 apiece, meaning every team still alive in the bracket is guaranteed a cash return. The prize pool and distribution were published by Black Molly Entertainment.

The event is the first of three Beats planned for 2026, with Beat II set for September 21–26 and Beat III for October 12–17, both also at BME Studio in Stockholm. Beat I’s format – 14 registration slots at a $2,000 buy-in covering accommodation and catering, plus two qualifier berths – is the structure Black Molly Entertainment has outlined for the circuit.
