With so many competitors, the format involves three phases, crowning the champion after 4 packed days of competition open for esports betting:
- First Phase – 8 groups of 4 (GSL)
- Double-elimination brackets, Ft3 matches
- The top 2 from each group move on to the Second Phase
- Second Phase – 4 groups of 4 (GSL)
- Double-elimination brackets, Ft3 matches
- The top 2 from each group move on to the Second Phase
- Third Phase – single-elimination bracket

Up until the Third Phase, competitors have a second chance should they lose their opening fight. Once in the Third Phase, it’s winner takes all to the end.
Street Fighter Betting Predictions
While individuals are competing, every competitor represents an organization competing in the EWC Club Championship. Here are a few examples:
- Team Falcons – MenaRD, DCQ
- Fnatic – Chris Wong
- MOUZ – Problem X
This may make for interesting match-ups should individuals representing the same organization face one another. However, in terms of esports odds, you will likely only be able to wager on the performance of individual competitors.
That said, lets go over our key choice and favorite.
Team Falcons – MenaRD the Menace
As is a common theme for these Esports World Cup, Team Falcons has made sure to get their hands on the best available talent.
For Street Fighter 6, they’re represented by none other than Saul “MenaRD” Mena arguably one of the best Street Fighter players in history. He is the reigning World Champion for the title after winning EVO Japan 2024, with a rich history in Street Fighter V after winning two Capcom Cups.
In addition, Team Falcons have also signed Ding “DCQ” Yuhan, a Chinese competitor with a respectable record with not much silverware to show for it. His main claim for this tournament is a recent 2nd place finish at CEO 2024. However, considering he finished 65-94th at EVO 2024, we wouldn’t consider him a favorite.
If you are looking into Street Fighter betting, or trying to just tie some games into your accumulators, taking their respective matches as a win is the best choice.
Recent Results from EVO 2024
While recent tournament results don’t always provide the best esports betting insights, the most prestigious Street Fighter competition took place only a couple of weeks ago – the Evolution Championship Series 2024.
Here’s how the competitors stacked up at this particular tournament:
EVO SF4 2024 Ranking | Player | Team |
---|---|---|
1st | Punk | FlyQuest |
2nd | Big Bird | NASR eSports/Red Bull eSports |
3rd | EndingWalker | MOUZ |
4th | Momochi | Shinobism Gaming/Victrix Pro |
5-6th | Nemo, Zhen | Saishunkan Sol Kumamoto, Geekay Esports |
7-8th | AngryBird, Tokido | NASR eSports, REJECT |
At such a tournament, favorites such as “MenaRD” placed 17-24th. For those unfamiliar with Street Fighter betting, rankings can be deceiving, considering each match-up is an individual fight. Specifically, selecting the appropriate fighter and countering your opponent is all that is needed for upsets to take place.
Especially in the early stages of the tournament, it may be difficult to pick out winners unless the odds are one-sided. We recommend focusing on the second and third phase as after the first phase, it will be more clear as to how the competition stacks up.
