Team Vitality CS2 Ropz – Roster Change of the Year?

The Team Vitality CS2 roster is one of the best teams in the world, with multiple victories every year. Moreover, they’ve just gone ahead and made the most significant roster move of the entire season – let’s take a closer look.

Here on EsportsBets, we don’t typically cover any roster change, but this one is special.

Since transitioning to CS2, Team Vitality CS2 has done well to stay on top of the competition, finishing 3-4th at the PGL Major Copenhagen and winning IEM Cologne 2024 to make them CS2 betting favourites. However, at the most recent Perfect World Shanghai Major, they fell 5-8th to the hands of FaZe Clan.

As the saying goes – if you can’t beat them, join them!

Indeed, in a move nobody expected, Vitality has signed Robin “ropz” Kool from FaZe just after the team finished 2nd at the Perfect World Shanghai Major. While “ropz” did leave FaZe on 1st January, nobody expected him to sign with a seemingly stable Vitality roster.

As a veteran with over $1,500,000 in earnings and multiple championships, this signing is clearly an upgrade for the roster which has struggled to find its footing in the past few months. Specifically, “ropz” is directly joining the roster instead of Lotan “Spinx” Giladi.

Considering Vitality is always CS2 betting favourites at CS2 tournaments, this roster change will definitely influence their odds when they compete in the BLAST Bounty. Indeed, while it’s a great signing, they may need more time to integrate the veteran into the squad.

Moreover, the Vitality and FaZe rivalry looks to grow a little more interesting ahead of the 2025 season.
