BLG vs T1 Match Analysis & Odds

Bilibili Gaming is a scary team. Chen “Bin” ZeBin alone strikes fear into his opponents and is widely regarded as the best in his role in the world, while midlaner Zhuo “knight” Ding is also considered one of the best in his position globally. Their LPL dominance made them a LoL Worlds betting favourite, though early jitters at the tournament raised a few question marks. That was until they swapped to substitute jungler XUN during the Swiss stage and now they’ve looked almost unbeatable ever since.
T1 came to Europe as reigning LoL Worlds champions and back-to-back finalists, but their domestic struggles — which have plagued the side in recent years — meant that they were considered outsiders to win the tournament. Yet, this team seems to have an unexplainable Worlds buff. Faker’s presence alone seems enough not only to boost his side’s form at the tournament, but also to make opponents crumble on these biggest stages and allow T1 to dominate in series that should be much more difficult.
That was exactly the case in their semi-final clash against Gen.G, where T1 entered as underdogs having lost this matchup in their last 10 meetings only to convincingly win 3-1 and book their place in the grand finals.
Such is T1’s aura that they now enter the final as the LoL Worlds favourites with odds of 1.78 to add a fifth world title to their trophy cabinet. While originally tournament favorites, BLG are now the slight underdogs entering the match with LoL Worlds odds of 2.05.

Our predictions for the BLG vs T1 Match
It’s a serious head vs heart battle. Despite having just beaten Gen.G, everything on paper still points to Bilibili. They’re definitely stronger on paper and seem solid with XUN’s addition. But T1’s mystical abilities make it hard to go against them now. I expect, and hope for, a very close series, one that I think T1 will clinch in a 3-2 victory.
Prediction: T1 3-2 BLG (4.40 at Betway)
While high-stakes best-of series can often see cagey opening matches with neither side wanting to slip up, I’d expect the polar opposite in this series. T1 are in their third successive Worlds final so nerves shouldn’t be an issue for them. Meanwhile, BLG — particularly top laner Bin — always play aggressively and confidently. I can see each side going for early blows and leading to a quick game one for the eventual victor.
Odds on game one lasting less than 27 minutes currently sit at 5.80.

Another interesting market is on champions to be played with bets on champs pickled in game one currently open. One champion that — though not always a high priority — does become a key pick is Poppy. It’s particularly strong against champions looking to dive on or towards their opponents, such as Faker or Knight’s Ahri, Bin’s Jax, or Keria’s Pyke.
Poppy currently has odds of 3.20 to be picked in map one.
