FISSURE and BetBoom Unveil $15,000 Fissure Underworld Deadlock Tournament
Tournament organizer FISSURE has announced they’re making the plunge into unreleased MOBA shooter Deadlock as they unveil a $15,000 tournament for the game, FISSURE Underworld. Announced on Oct. 3, the tournament will be open for anyone to qualifiy, so it’s a true baptism of fire for potential Deadlock pros!
FISSURE Underworld, which is set to take place between Oct. 5-13, will consist of two open qualifiers leading into a weekend Group Stage and Playoff. The prize pool distribution will see first place take home $7,500, second place $3,500, and third and fourth places $2,000 each. It’s not been detailed how many teams will advance to the final playoffs.
The event will be hosted on the Battlefy tournament platform, and teams from the Western European and Eastern European Regions and Servers will be allowed to enter.
The tournament is being hosted in collaboration with esports bookmaker BetBoom, who FISSURE have collaborated on multiple previous events, mainly in Dota 2. The most notable of these are the BetBoom Dacha series of events, with BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 being hosted later this month.

FISSURE Underworld also marks the first time a major tournament organizer has made a move towards running a Deadlock tournament. While it’s almost assured that behind the scenes almost every tournament organizer is looking to expand into the currently unreleased game, FISSURE may have been the first to pull the trigger.
Deadlock itself is surging, with event organizers and bookmakers looking to make their first moves into the game. Last month, Oddin.gg announced that it had pioneered the way with some of the first Deadlock betting markets. This was following the very first Deadlock tournaments being hosted following the embargo lift in late August.
FISSURE is a tournament operator founded in 2022 and headquartered in Yerevan, Armenia. They host tournaments for Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, and Mobile Legends Bang Bang, and now Deadlock.
