LCK Rostermania 2025 – T1 & Gen.G Make Changes
As the most popular League of Legends region in the world, LCK Rostermania 2025 has the potential to shake up how the competition stands. In this summary article, we’re looking at the biggest roster moves and discussing their potential outcome.
LCK Rostermania – T1 Bring in Doran
T1 proved themselves to be the best LoL team in the world after being the first roster ever to win two Worlds in a row with the same roster. Bearing this in mind, nobody expected any roster change to affect this team, enjoying a well-deserved break in the off-season.
However, in a shocking turn of events, top laner Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon has been brought in to replace Choi “Zeus” Woo-je. We do not know why “Zeus” has left, but at 20 years old, it’s unlikely that it’s due to retirement.
Looking forward, T1 has signed a strong replacement considering that “Doran” was an essential piece to Hanwha Life’s revival this season leading to their win at the LCK 2024 Summer Playoffs. Overall, a surprising yet solid change which will keep LoL odds in their favour.
Gen.G Adjusting Contracts
Besides the attention on T1, Gen.G is also making some changes. Winning both the LCK Spring 2024 and Mid-Season Invitational 2024, the team fell just short at Worlds to place 3-4th.
Earlier today Gen.G revealed the contract expiration of multiple players on the roster, although the team is likely to renew contracts for the majority of the team. However, the players do have the opportunity to consider other offers and perhaps find new homes in the LCK.
We definitely recommend staying up to date with this potentially dominant roster for 2024 in the LCK power rankings.
LCK Rostermania – Any Other Contenders?
Last season, the top three teams in the LCK were clearly Gen.G, T1 and Hanwha Life Esports.
With changes influencing the top 3 as mentioned, the other teams are also scrambling to improve their chances in the coming season.
Accordingly, the more changes a team makes, the more difficult they can be to predict for LoL betting in the beginning of the upcoming season. Here’s a look at the 3-6th place teams from the LCK Summer Playoffs and their changes:
- Dplus KIA – Siwoo, BeryL, Lucid, Showmaker, Aiming
- KT Rolster – PerfecT, Cuzz, Peyz, Way, Bdd
- BNK FearX – VicLa, Diable, Kellin, Raptor, Clear
Every single team in the LCK has made a change ahead of the coming season, which should make for another competitive year.
