At the same time, the young prodigy donk is on the brink of repeating ZywOo’s incredible feat from 2019 – being the number one player in the world in his rookie year.
FaZe’s year has been a mixed bag of results, with multiple final appearances and numerous disappointing defeats. Winning this Major Grand Final would make all the suffering throughout most of this year worth it, especially for someone like karrigan. If the Dane manages to lift his second Major trophy, then he’s a serious contender for the title of the best in-game leader of all time, alongside his countryman gla1ve.

Going off their performances in the last three months, Spirit should take the win. They’ve been the more solid team, often capable of taking down the likes of Vitality or G2.
However, the form FaZe has shown since entering the arena is nothing we’ve seen from them since the last Major in March. If both teams come into the Sunday Grand Final playing like they have in Shanghai so far, then FaZe will become two-time Major Champions.
Albeit, it will probably be a close game with tons of clutches and flashes of brilliance from the likes of donk, ropz, and their teammates.

Spirit’s key to success in this game is to get their stars firing as soon as possible. When donk and sh1ro are playing to the best of their abilities, then their support cast of zont1x, chopper, and magixx don’t have to do much to secure their team victory.
Of course, that’s easier said than done, but beyond a brief blip against MOUZ on Nuke in the semi, donk has been exceptional all Major long. It would be no surprise to see him lift not only the Major trophy but also the tournament MVP title on Sunday.
On the other hand, FaZe’s resurgence in the playoffs has been nothing short of extraordinary. ropz is back to his late 2023 form, broky is delivering impact with the AWP, and karrigan is calling rings around the opposition. These three aspects of their game will have to be present in the Grand Final if they are to best Spirit.
While FaZe don’t have a star player like donk, they have a weaker map pool and have been objectively worse than Spirit in the second half of the year, it feels like this is the time they unleash their true potential and take home the gold.
