Indeed, it’s worth noting that eight teams are starting out in the Upper Bracket while four are stuck in the Lower Bracket. Naturally, these eight teams have improved Call of Duty odds over the other teams, seeded into the following Upper Bracket Quarterfinals: on 30/01/25:

FaZe Clan – Recent Minor Winners

Although FaZe is ranked as the 6th CDL seed from the qualifiers, esports betting sites actually favour the team after winning the CDL Stage 1 Minor tournament. Indeed, although FaZe had a rough start to the 2025 season, after their surprising win at the CDL Stage 1 Minor, they’ve been wrecking the competition.

Simply put, the incredible talent on this roster is where everyone would expect them to be – especially the likes of “Simp” who is looking like his former self from Black Ops 4.

OpTic Roster – First Seed Favourites

Ever since resigning Cuyler “Huke” Garland in December, all eyes have been on OpTic and whether they can bounce back from the unexpected loss of “Pred”.

Throughout the CDL Qualifiers, OpTic Gaming only suffered one loss to Boston in the season’s first week. Despite this undefeated record, OpTic fell short at the CDL Minor tournament after losing to Carolina Royal Ravens in the Semifinals.

Most recently, after beating LA Thieves and Toronto Ultra, OpTic is looking extra deadly.

LA Thieves – The Third Horse

If it’s not FaZe or OpTic, LA Thieves are looking for revenge at the CDL Stage 1 Major.

In the CDL Qualifier, this alleged ‘superteam’ has stepped up to the plate, losing 3-2 matches only to the likes of OpTic Gaming and Boston Breach.

However, despite this hype, LA Thieves suffered at the CDL Minor tournament to finish 5-8th after an unlucky opening draw against FaZe. Overall, this Stage 1 Major is the perfect opportunity for LA Thieves to reap revenge on OpTic and LA Thieves.
