Team Liquid – Out of It?
As the reigning champions from MPL Indonesia Season 14, taking down RRQ, Team Liquid were expected to dominate at this tournament. While their rivals RRQ Hoshi sit undefeated at 3-0, Liquid are now struggling to stay alive in the competition.
So far, they’ve lost against ONIC Fnatic (as expected) but regained against KeepBest. However, following a surprising loss to Team Spirit, they now find themselves facing Aurora.
Aurora, a team out of nowhere from the Philippines, are also in desperate need of a win here. Considering that Aurora placed higher than Liquid at the APAC Playoffs, this is Liquid’s penultimate chance to stay alive in the tournament with some of the best Mobile Legends players.
Falcons Esports – A Pleasant Surprise
Historically, teams from Myanmar have struggled to compete with the major regions of the Philippines and Indonesia. However, Falcons Esports is turning the page after an impressive start at the M6 World Championship.
After placing 5-8th at the MLBB Mid-Season Cup, this seasoned roster seems to have learned from this experience. Accordingly, they’ve taken down Aurora Gaming and the Selangor Red Giants at the tournament so far.
Now facing BloodThirstyKings, this is Falcon Esports’ chance to cement their spot for themselves and the region of Myanmar as one of the best Mobile Legends teams.
North America & Cambodia Dive In
Alongside Falcons Esports from Myanmar, two other teams have taken the opportunity to show off Mobile Legends as an international esport:
- BloodThirstyKings – hailing from North America, this side has lucked out with the random Swiss Stage. Having only beaten two Turkish sides while losing to the absolute favourites ONIC Fnatic, they are in a position to scrape by into the Playoffs with their next match against Falcon Esports.
- CFU Gaming – unlike the above team, CFU has defeated tougher opposition in the form of NIP Flash while also falling to ONIC. This Cambodian side now faces Team Spirit in a balanced match which could truly go either way.
M6 Swiss Stage – Our Final Predictions
With all that being said and done, which two sides will join Fnatic ONIC PH and RRQ Hoshi? Here are the six sides we have faith in:
- Twisted Minds
- Falcon Esports
- NIP Flash
- Aurora Gaming
- Team Liquid ID
- CFU Gaming
However, as we’ll reiterate, it’s essential to tune into the randomized matches as the schedule is everything.
