Train CS2 Map – Returning to Competitive
After three long years, Train is returning to the competitive map pool. Indeed, in this featured discussion, we’re diving into everything you need to know about the Train CS2 map.
When will Train CS2 Return?
Earlier this week, BLAST announced on social media the long-awaited return of the classic map. Of note, Train returns after being pulled from the map pool and CS2 betting all the way back in 2021.
Specifically, BLAST has revealed that the map will be replacing Vertigo in the competitive map pool. Here’s a look at the current CS2 map pool:
- Mirage
- Inferno
- Nuke
- Dust 2
- Ancient
- Anubis
- Train
This announcement follows the introduction of Train back to the main title with a few changes – the speed of the news has been questioned.
We’ll have our first glimpse of Train CS2 at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025, taking place between 23rd-26th January 2025.
Changes to Train CS2 – Quick Summary
Here’s a quick summary of the changes affecting the return of Train CS2:
- Graphical improvements – like other reworks, massive improvements in detail and colour.
- Bombsites – overall, A and B sites have been made more open with less clutter to make it more friendly to beginners.
Other changes were also made to the geometry of the map, so we’d recommend that any rookies should give it a try.
When it comes to esports betting and CS2 live betting, esports betting sites may find it a little challenging to predict which teams will perform the best on the newly worked map.
