In 2022, Rocket League is still a leading title, having amassed a considerable following over the years. The competitive scene for Rocket League was a much appreciated and valuable vertical, with plenty of competitors. But, with that in mind, who are the best Rocket League teams in the world?

5. Furia Esports

Furia is a well-known Brazilian esports organisation founded in August 2017 by Jaime “raizen” pádua, which in terms of esports, is fairly new. Furia currently fields top teams in most of the biggest esports games, such as, CS:GO, Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, and Rocket League.

In recent times, Rocket League has changed from being a primarily EU and NA dominated game to being a game where there are top-tier representatives from all of the minor regions. Furia made their first big mark on the big stage at the Copperbox arena in London where they placed 5-6th beating dominant teams such as Team BDS, FaZe Clan, and OpTic Gaming. Shortly after, was the Gamers8 tournament which Furia dominated taking 1st place. On top of this Furia managed a 3-4th place finish.

After a dominant year of Rocket League for Furia, their total earnings has skyrocketed to $849,900 making them the 6th highest-earning team in Rocket League history.

4. Spacestation Gaming (SSG)

Spacestation Gaming, one of the newer teams entering the Rocket League space, has proven itself repeatedly. There’s considerable financial backing for Spacestation in terms of sponsorship, and as a brand, the organisation is a very popular one.  As of August 2022, Spacestation had picked up more than $770,000. There were plenty of big victories to be had and celebrated for Spacestation. From 2018 to 2022, the team has claimed over 22 major victories in Rocket League.

In June of 2021, the team almost beat out NRG in the RLCS Season X NA Championships. It would have been a remarkable victory, especially considering that NRG is regarded as the best team in Rocket League. Although, when you are looking for incredible RL teams, Spacestation is still a fine contender.

3. Team BDS

Once upon a time, many people regarded Team BDS as the best Rocket league team in the world. However, that claim has arisen based on the fact that it’s remarkably young that has accomplished a lot in a very short period of time.

BDS ventured into the Rocket League tournaments scene in February of 2020, and within a year, had racked up almost half a million dollars in winnings. The Swiss team was quickly penned as the most explosive Rocket League team in the European region, and, there were bold predictions made regarding its future.

Since entering Rocket League, Team BDS has been a dominant force, winning over 12 Major events, including the most recent RLCS 2021-22 World Championship netting $600,000, bringing their total earning to over $1,3000,000. G2 has been a considerable force in the Rocket League space since 2016, a year after the game launched. In 2017, the organisation picked up its most prolific player, the incredibly capable Rizzo. Although that powerhouse of a player would depart G2 in June of 2021, the team would continue dominating. NRG is one of the rare teams to have amassed over one million dollars in Rocket League earnings. It’s an absolute powerhouse of an organisation that has existed in the Rocket League space since late-2016. It’s a dominant force with a world-class roster. According to escharts.com, The General NRG boasts the highest peak viewership on live steam out of any team in the Rocket League Landscape. NRG is currently the highest-earning team in Rocket League, with over $1,450,000, the majority of which arrived between 2019 and 2021. However, that window wasn’t exhaustive, as NRG showed no signs of relenting when it won the RLCS Season X NA Championship event.

In that one win, the team collected $160,000. There’s no doubt that NRG is one of the best Rocket League teams in the industry. With a recent dip in the form of the team, there’s no doubt they will bounce back as we move forward. FaZe Clan is one of the largest organisations founded on May 30th 2010, over 12 years ago. Faze currently have teams in esports games such as Call of Duty, Counter-Strike Global Offensive, PUBG, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, Fifa, Fortnite, and also Rocket League.

FaZe entered Rocket League in early 2019 as a roster that was consistent at making the top 6 in North America. After a few roster changes, FaZe has secured its spot as one of the top 3 teams in North America. With dominant performances such as 3rd/4th place at the most recent RLCS World Championship netting them an incredible $200,000.

Having amassed over $620,000 in earnings in its 3 short years of competing, FaZe is cementing its place as one of the most talented teams in Rocket League moving forward.

Moist Esports

Moist Esports is one of the newest up-and-coming organisations. In the Rocket League scene, Moist are just 3 months old as they picked up former Team Queso roster, Rise, Joyo, and Vatira. Since joining on may 5th 2022, this team has amassed just under a quarter of a million dollars.

The first Major appearance was a 2nd place finish against G2 in the finals of the Winter Split of the RLCS in North America. Just a few months later, in London, Moist pulled off a lower bracket run, succeeding in beating Team Falcons to become the Spring Split champions in July 2022. Since Joining, Moist have been one of Europe’s most dominant teams and looks to continue this way moving forward.
