Rocket League debuted in 2015 and quickly established itself as a leader in the sports scene. It offered exhilarating and unique gameplay, taking the form of a ‘soccer-with-cars’ platform. In 2023, Rocket League is still a leading title, having amassed a considerable following over the years. The competitive scene for Rocket League was a much appreciated and valuable vertical, with plenty of competitors. But, with that in mind, who are the best Rocket League teams in the world?
Which are the top Rocket League teams?
There is a wide variety of teams in the space, ranging from the biggest and most prolific teams in the world to the smaller local teams. There is plenty of money to be made when competing in Rocket League, but which teams out there are claiming the biggest prizes?
5. Furia Esports
Furia is a well-known Brazilian esports organisation founded in August 2017 by Jaime “raizen” pádua, which in terms of esports, is fairly new. Furia currently fields top teams in most of the biggest esports games, such as, CS:GO, Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, and Rocket League.
In recent times, Rocket League has changed from being a primarily EU and NA dominated game to being a game where there are top-tier representatives from all of the minor regions. Furia made their first big mark on the big stage at the Copperbox arena in London where they placed 5-6th beating dominant teams such as Team BDS, FaZe Clan, and OpTic Gaming. Shortly after, was the Gamers8 tournament which Furia dominated taking 1st place. On top of this Furia managed a 3-4th place finish.
After a dominant year of Rocket League for Furia, their total earnings has skyrocketed to $849,900 making them the 6th highest-earning team in Rocket League history.
4. Spacestation Gaming (SSG)

Spacestation Gaming, one of the newer teams entering the Rocket League space, has proven itself repeatedly. There’s considerable financial backing for Spacestation in terms of sponsorship, and as a brand, the organisation is a very popular one. From 2018 to 2022, the team has claimed over 22 major victories in Rocket League.
In June of 2021, the team almost beat out NRG in the RLCS Season X NA Championships. It would have been a remarkable victory, especially considering that NRG is regarded as the best team in Rocket League. Although, when you are looking for incredible RL teams, Spacestation is still a fine contender.
3. Team BDS

Once upon a time, many people regarded Team BDS as the best Rocket league team in the world. However, that claim has arisen based on the fact that it’s remarkably young that has accomplished a lot in a very short period of time.
BDS ventured into the Rocket League tournaments scene in February of 2020, and within a year, had racked up almost half a million dollars in winnings. The Swiss team was quickly penned as the most explosive Rocket League team in the European region, and, there were bold predictions made regarding its future.
Since entering Rocket League, Team BDS has been a dominant force, winning over 12 Major events, including the most recent RLCS 2021-22 World Championship netting $600,000, bringing their total earning to over $1,3000,000. In almost every esports vertical, G2 Esports fields a squad. The organisation was founded in 2014, making it a relatively young team, but it has already exhibited a clear dominant streak. Today, G2 competes in esports tournaments for Clash, CS:GO, Fortnite, Rainbow Six, Valorant, and of course, Rocket League. However, that list is almost non-exhaustive, and as a brand, G2 spreads far and wide across the industry.
G2 has been a considerable force in the Rocket League space since 2016, a year after the game launched. In 2017, the organisation picked up its most prolific player, the incredibly capable Rizzo. Although that powerhouse of a player would depart G2 in June of 2021, the team would continue dominating. G2 has recently found a form of dominance again, amassing over $1,4000,000 from Rocket League.
It’s easily one of the top Rocket League teams in the world. In recent years, G2 has been crowned NA champions in the RLCS, the game’s most prolific and valuable competition. There’s still plenty in store for G2 moving forward.
1. The General NRG
NRG is one of the rare teams to have amassed over one million dollars in Rocket League earnings. It’s an absolute powerhouse of an organisation that has existed in the Rocket League space since late-2016. It’s a dominant force with a world-class roster. Three of these gamers ended up on our list of the best Rocket League Players ever.
According to escharts.com, The General NRG boasts the highest peak viewership on live steam out of any team in the Rocket League Landscape. NRG is currently the highest-earning team in Rocket League, with over $1,450,000, the majority of which arrived between 2019 and 2021. However, that window wasn’t exhaustive, as NRG showed no signs of relenting when it won the RLCS Season X NA Championship event.
In that one win, the team collected $160,000. There’s no doubt that NRG is one of the best Rocket League teams in the industry. With a recent dip in the form of the team, there’s no doubt they will bounce back as we move forward. So if you are interested in Rocket League betting and NRG is on the field, you know where you should put your money.
