Inspired’s First Virtual Esports Gambling Game
If there is one facet of the gambling industry that has mirrored the success of esports betting in recent times, it has been the surge of growth and interest in virtual sports betting games. Now, one of the biggest names in that industry, Inspired, has turned its attention to producing the company’s first virtual esports betting game.
The new title will sit amongst the raft of other virtual titles that the company offers to sportsbook services which include virtual versions of basketball, football, American Football, golf, horse racing and motor racing.
Partnership with Grid
To help facilitate the development of the game, Inspired have teamed up with esports data provider Grid to ensure that their product, which is based on the hugely popular CS:GO game, matches the exacting demands of both esports bettors and those that enjoy virtuals gaming.
For those of you that don’t know how virtual sports betting games work, they produce a ‘virtual’ sports event in which people can bet on a variety of markets for that virtual game.
Once the betting period ends, the game is played (often depicted through computer graphics, but increasingly real-life film footage is being used within virtual games to depict the results) and with a strong random element built into the game, a result is decided and then winning bets paid out.
This whole process takes just 2-5 minutes to complete, which means virtual sports offer punters the chance to bet on multiple events and have their bets concluded, far more quickly than in real-life sporting events.
How will virtual esports work?
With Inspired using Grid’s data, they will take actual footage streamed from the CS:GO Champion of Champions Tour to produce the basis of their Virtual Esports game.
For each game, random selections will be made from the footage which will generate the result, which of course can be completely different every time, just as in a real-life sports event.
Before that though, a range of CSGO betting will be offered on the virtual esports match, which punters can then back as they would a real live event.
It is a hugely exciting new opportunity for esports fans as Steve Rogers, the Chief Commercial Officer of Virtual Sports at Inspired explained:
“Making esports events available 24/7/365 across our certified Virtual Sports platforms is a uniquely exciting offer. We are looking forward to unveiling our Re-Play eSports™ game with GRID as a whole new genre of betting events aimed at capturing the attention of a different player demographics outside the more traditional sports betting community.”
