G2 continue to impress
Since the summer player break, G2 have made playoffs of every event they attended, with the BLAST Fall Final being their second Grand Final appearance. It’s clear that the team’s firepower has been on another level since the addition of malbsMD to the roster, who is comfortably slotting into the role of the third star of the squad behind m0NESY and NiKo.
Despite the rumors that NiKo will join Falcons after the Shanghai Major, the Bosnian is performing at the top of his game and proving to Counter-Strike fans that he is still among the best CS2 players. His form in the Grand Final will be detrimental to G2’s chances of finally toppling down NAVI.
Breaking through that mental barrier and beating NAVI in a BO5 Grand Final could be a make-or-break moment for someone like Snax, who has struggled with criticism from the community over his individual form and calling prowess.
However, the CS2 odds aren’t in their favor, as G2 are on a staggering nine-match losing streak against NAVI. The PGL Copenhagen Major Champions are in excellent form and it’s difficult to see them come out second-best in this matchup.
Yet another Grand Final for NAVI
There is no doubt that NAVI are objectively the best CS2 team in the world right now. This will be their fifth consecutive Grand Final appearance, having won two of the previous four.
All four of b1t, w0nderful, iM, and jL are firing on all cylinders, taking turns to take over the server on different maps. It’s safe to say that NAVI have more tactical and firepower depth within their roster than any other squad.
Considering that the Grand Final will be played in a BO5 format, NAVI are the much safer choice when it comes to CS2 betting. Their map pool is much wider than G2’s and they beat them every single time they met since their transition to an international roster.
Having said that, G2 looked very impressive in their semi-final victory against Vitality, so you can’t completely rule them out on Sunday. Rounds Over/Under and Maps Over/Under markets could be attractive if the game goes down to the wire.
One thing is for certain, it’s going to be an entertaining game worth tuning into for every CS2 fan.
