01.04.2024 – NAVI win PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024
After one of the most stacked playoff brackets in Counter-Strike Major history, the inaugural CS2 Major has concluded, with NAVI shocking FaZe in the Grand Final and lifting the trophy in front of a sold-out crowd in the Royal Arena. Four new players have been added to the elite pool of Major winners, with Valeriy “b1t” Vakhovskiy becoming the first to win a Major in CS:GO and CS2.
On the other side of the server, FaZe failed to win the Grand Final in the Royal Arena for the third time in a row, after falling short at the BLAST Fall Finals both in 2022 and 2023. Despite not capturing their second Major trophy, FaZe continues their incredible CS2 Grand Final run, having placed in the top two in the last six LAN events, since IEM Sydney 2023 (first CS2 event).
During the Grand Final matchup between NAVI and FaZe, the concurrent viewership peaked at over 1,8 million viewers, making it the third most-watched Counter-Strike event of all time, and the most popular esports event of 2024 (as per Esports Charts).

31.03.2024 – FaZe battle NAVI in PGL Antwerp Major Grand Final Rematch
The PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024 continues to deliver, with both semi-finals being an absolute feast for the eyes of Counter-Strike fans worldwide. FaZe avenged themselves against Vitality, after two consecutive Grand Final losses at the end of 2023, while NAVI continued their winning streak against G2, after an exhilarating BO3 series.
FaZe and NAVI will face off in a Major Grand Final for the second time after Finn “karrigan” Andersen and his troops took down the then CIS NAVI squad and earned their maiden Major title. Now the roles have reversed and it’s the NAVI roster gunning for glory on the biggest of stages against the accomplished veterans.

23.03.2024 – Favourites Aplenty in Deciding 2-2 Matchups
After another exhilarating day of Counter-Strike action, three more teams secured themselves PGL CS2 Major playoff berths – Eternal Fire, Vitality, and Cloud9. It’s safe to say that Eternal Fire are the surprise package of the event so far, having beaten Vitality, FaZe, and Virtus.pro on their way to the Royal Arena.
Due to some of the favorites struggling in earlier rounds of the Elimination Stage, tomorrow’s deciding 2-2 games are absolutely stacked. At least one of FaZe, G2, Virtus.pro, or NAVI will miss out on playing in front of the packed crowd in Copenhagen. The first two playoff-bound teams at the PGL CS2 Major have been confirmed, with Spirit and MOUZ besting their opponents in all three of their games. We also said goodbye to two squads – TheMongolz and FURIA couldn’t get over the line in their 0-2 matchups, losing narrow and thrilling BO3s to paiN and ECSTATIC, respectively.
Several fan favorites stumbled again, as FaZe and G2 were second-best in their 1-1 games and now find themselves on the brink of elimination from the first CS2 Major. They’ll have to turn it up a notch tomorrow if they still want to be in with a chance to play in front of a sold-out crowd inside the Royal Arena.

21.03.2024 – Spirit Unstoppable on Day One of Elimination Stage
The Major Top 16 has got off to a hot start with massive upsets, sensational individual plays, and thrilling matches. Let’s dive right in.
Three of the four favorites to take the Major trophy home – FaZe, Vitality, and Virtus.pro – began the tournament on the back foot, losing their respective BO1 openers to Heroic, Eternal Fire, and Imperial. As for Spirit, they once again showed their dominance and made quick work of Cloud9 and Imperial.
The game of the day title would have to go to the Complexity vs Heroic 1-0 matchup, where the North Americans pulled through in a double overtime affair to go 2-0 and battle for a spot in the Royal Arena in tomorrow’s BO3s.

20.03.2024 – Opening Stage Ends, Elimination Stage Begins
The Opening Stage of the PGL Copenhagen Major has concluded, with eight teams making the leap to join the CS2 elite in the Elimination Stage. Akin to the Opening Stage, the Elimination Stage will be carried out in the same Swiss system format, with eight teams advancing to the playoffs, and the other eight being eliminated from the competition.
There are no off days between tournament stages so over the next four days expect constant Counter-Strike action, courtesy of some of the best teams in the world. Tomorrow’s opening games have already been set, with some of the more interesting matchups including Vitality vs Eternal Fire, Spirit vs Cloud9, and G2 vs FURIA.

19.03.2024 – ECSTATIC Advance and ENCE are Eliminated on Day Three in Copenhagen
Three more teams have joined Cloud9 and Heroic in qualifying for the Elimination Stage of the PGL CS2 Major – Eternal Fire, paiN, and ECSTATIC. Obviously, there were winners and losers with some of the big names falling short much earlier in the competition than they would have expected. Day three eliminated teams include ENCE, Apeks, and Lynn Vision.

18.03.2024 – First Two Teams Eliminated from the Major
The second day of action saw AMKAL and KOI get eliminated from the PGL CS2 Major without a single win under their belt, by TheMongolz and FURIA, respectively. Simultaneously, Cloud9 and Heroic secured Elimination Stage berths, courtesy of besting SAW and Eternal Fire in their respective 2-0 matchups.
On day three of the competition, there will be no more BO1s, with each match being carried out in a best-of-three format. The day will be headlined by a tantalizing elimination game, between two popular but underperforming squads – ENCE and FURIA.

16.03.2024 – GamerLegion replace 9 Pandas due to Visa Issues
PGL has confirmed that 9 Pandas are unable to attend the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen and will be replaced by GamerLegion, whom they defeated in the last match of the LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier) to qualify for the inaugural CS2 Major.
The team’s seeding will remain unchanged and GamerLegion will battle AMKAL in their Opening Stage matchup on March 17th. As for sticker revenue, there is no information as yet. Everyone has to wait and see how the situation unfolds.

The Asia RMR for the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen has come to a close, with The Mongolz and Lynn Vision securing themselves Major berths.
During the three days of the tournament, eight teams battled for the two Major spots. Grayhound came closest to qualification out of the rest of the competition, falling short at the final hurdle against Lynn Vision.

24.02.2024 – LCQ Finishes EU Major Qualifications
With 9 Pandas coming out on top in the LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier), the European qualification process for the inaugural CS2 Major has come to an end.
