The FFWS Global Finals – A New Name

Replacing what was once referred to as the Free Fire World Series, the FFWS Global Finals is the new name for the post-season tournament.

Inviting the top 18 teams in the entire world, with seeds from across all the major regions, this post-season tournament crowns a World Champion.

For the 2024 season, the competition heads to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, paying homage to the first iteration of the event to ever take place in the continent back in 2019. Hosted in November, we’ll be sure to stay tuned for further updates.

Moreover, the 2021 iteration of Free Fire World Series turned heads as it broke esports viewership records, with recorded peak viewerships reaching over millions.

The event enjoyed so much success, that in 2020, the Free Fire World Series was hosted twice – once in May and once in November, each with a $2,000,000 prize pool!

In the seasons following, the tournament started taking place only once in the season and in 2024, the prestigious end of season tournament is now named the FFWS Global Finals.
