Despite CS2 being home to the Counter-Strike esports scene for only a couple of months, we’ve already witnessed a myriad of spectacular performances and moments of individual brilliance from some of the best CS2 players in the world.

This is our top 10 best CS2 players list based on individual statistics as well as team accomplishments in CS2. It’s important to note that performances in LAN events (offline) are considered more important than online tournaments in our ranking.

10. donk

Despite having played a very small number of CS2 games on LAN so far, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets could not have been omitted from our list. The 16-year-old phenomenon wreaks havoc every time he enters the server, averaging a staggering 1.43 rating in CS2 so far.

If he can keep up this level of performance in offline tournaments, the Russian prodigy is bound for a big money move shortly.

Everyone in the Counter-Strike community knows that Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dortkardesis an exceptionally gifted player, but his transition to CS2 has been nothing short of sensational. The Turk helped his team to two Grand Final appearances in the two LAN CS2 tournaments they attended.

He has averaged a 1.30 rating in CS2 so far, albeit against slightly weaker opposition than players above him on this list have faced. With that in mind, he slots in perfectly at the number eight position in our ranking.

David “frozen” Cernansky has been one of the top talents in Counter-Strike for a couple of years now and he continues to perform in the new version of the game as well. Despite being only 21 years old, his experience and extremely high individual skill nets him a veteran status among the community.

Due to the Slovakian’s impressive performances in CS2 so far (1.19 rating), he’s touted to be one the best replacement options for FaZe in the event of Russel “Twistzz” van Dulken leaving the team. With that move coming to fruition, FaZe are a dominant team to consider when betting on CS2.

Ever since letting go of his in-game leader duties, Denis “electroNic” Sharipov has been unstoppable on the server. The Russian rifler took to CS2 like a duck to water, as evidenced by his exceptional LAN performance (1.19 rating).

There was a lot of pressure on electroNic to step up his level, especially after Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov’s shock exit from Cloud9. Thankfully for fans of the roster, he has lived up to the expectations and took over as the team’s star rifler – a role he’s familiar with from his time back in NAVI.

The third of the four Russians on this list, Evgenii “FL1T” Lebedev has been the main force behind’s recent resurgence, leading the team with his aggressive style of play and impactful moves.

The rifler seems to be back in his Major-winning form, which bodes well for VP once they get back to playing in S-tier tournaments.

Despite being on the team with one of the best CS2 players in the world, Lotan “Spinx” Giladi manages to stand his ground as a great player in his own right. The Israeli is ZywOo’s right-hand man and is often the one to pull his team over the line when his teammates are having an off-game.

It is very possible that Vitality wouldn’t have won BLAST Fall Finals, had it not been for Spinx performing at such a high level. He averaged an excellent 1.26 rating throughout the event.

The best American player of all time Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski is back to his best at Complexity. Since his addition to the team, they have made tremendous improvements, especially following CS2’s release.

Going by statistics alone, he could be in the conversation for being the best CS2 player, having averaged an impressive 1.27 rating in LAN events. However, the lack of team accomplishments means that he can’t place any higher on our top Counter-Strike 2 players list.

In the absence of his more experienced and accomplished teammate Nikola “NiKo” Kovac, Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov has elevated his game to a whole new level and has become G2’s best player.

The 18-year-old AWPer continues to impress with his flashy play style. The only thing he’s missing is more titles to fill his trophy cabinet, but if he keeps up this form, he won’t have to worry about that.

Robin “ropz” Kool and one of the best CS2 teams in FaZe have hit the ground running in CS2, winning three of the four events they attended (three LAN, one online) and reaching the Grand Final at BLAST Fall Finals in Copenhagen.

The Estonian played a major part in his team’s success, averaging a 1.20 rating and earning two tournament MVP medals along the way. This level of consistency and the number of accomplishments in the new game warrants ropz’s position as the second best CS2 player on our list.

Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut is undoubtedly the best player in the world right now. Thankfully for Counter-Strike fans around the world, the Frenchman quickly adapted to CS2 and he remains one of the scariest players in the professional scene.

ZywOo was the main factor in Vitality’s win over FaZe in the BLAST Fall Finals Grand Final, where his team ended FaZe’s 18-match CS2 win streak. The AWPer rightfully received the MVP medal, having sported a 1.35 rating throughout the event.
