Rainbow Six Siege is one of the most complicated FPS titles in esports. Today we’ll be sharing our list of the best Rainbow Six Siege players who, having put in thousands of hours, have mastered the game’s complex mechanics. Some of the pro players on this list are now retired but we know that their legacies will continue to inspire us for a long time. Whether you’re a seasoned player or a casual gamer, you won’t want to miss out on watching these players.

So, let’s get started and dive into our list of the best Rainbow Six Siege Players in the world!

Top 10 Best Rainbow Six Siege Players List

  1. Niclas “Pengu” Mouritzen
  2. Jason “Beaulo” Doty
  3. Stéphane “Shaiiko” Lebleu
  4. Luccas “Paluh” Molina
  5. Troy “Canadian” Jaroslawski
  6. Juhani “Kantoraketti” Toivonen
  7. Murilo “Muzi” Moscatelli
  8. Fabian “Fabian” Hällsten
  9. Gustavo “Psycho” Rigal
  10. André “nesk” Oliveira

André “nesk” Oliveira is the oldest player and member of Team Liquid, with a career that spans the R6 professional league itself. The 27-year-old Brazilian player is often perceived to be out of his prime—someone whose chance at winning his first Invitational is getting slimmer and slimmer every new season—but we think he’s already among the best pro Rainbow Six Siege players even without one.

He and Team Liquid finished 2nd at the Six Invitational 2021 and Six Jönköping Major 2022. SiegeGG named him the 3rd best player of Year 5. And in 2021, he became the player with the most kills in the entire history of Six Invitational. That itself is a testament to a legacy proven by time.

9. Psycho

Since 2018, Gustavo “Psycho” Rigal has been the pillar of Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP). As the team’s in-game leader, he’s given Brazil a couple of notable achievements, such as being the runner-up in Six Invitational 2020 and winning Six Invitational 2021.

Of course, there’s something to be said for the org itself. Being the oldest guy in the group and the oldest member of the team, however, it’s Psycho’s influence and leadership that give NIP its competitive edge. These certainly make him one of the best players in Rainbow Six Siege.

8. Fabian

It wasn’t a long time ago when Swedish player Fabian “Fabian” Hällsten was a star in the league. Now coaching for G2—which won the recent Six Invitational 2023—Fabian won several major R6 tournaments himself, including Six Invitational 2018, Six Invitational 2019, and Six Major Paris 2018. He was also the runner-up in Six Major Raleigh 2019.

It’s no wonder why Fabian is fit to be at the helm of one of the best Rainbow Six Siege teams. He just takes a serious, cerebral approach to the game more than anyone else.

7. Muzi

If Psycho is the NIP captain who’s calling the shots, it’s the NIP henchman Murilo “Muzi” Moscatelli who’s getting his hands dirty and actually making the shots. Back in Year 5, Muzi was ranked by SiegeGG as the 2nd best player in the professional league. His outstanding performances in Six August Major 2020 and Six Invitational 2021 also earned him an MVP and an EVP, respectively. NIP won both events.

For someone who sleeps 14 hours a day, the 21-year-old fragger has proven enough to be considered among the best players in Rainbow Six Siege.

6. Kantoraketti

At the age of 19, Finnish player Juhani “Kantoraketti” Toivonen became the youngest player to ever win a Major. A year later, he won Six Invitational 2019 and finished 2nd in Six Major Raleigh with G2. Much recently in 2022, he became the Six Berlin Major champion with Rogue.

The main takeaway? Kantoraketti has won R6 tournaments under different banners. When he was done playing for ENCE and PENTA, he left both teams with a top Pro League finish—something you’d know if you’ve been a fan of Rainbow Six betting since R6 launched. His talent brought victory with him wherever he goes, due in no small part to his versatility when it comes to picking operators.

5. Canadian

A true veteran of the game who’s been competing since early 2016, Troy “Canadian” Jaroslawski is among the most successful players in R6. He won Six Invitational 2020 (with Spacestation) and Six Charlotte Major 2022 (with DarkZero). Back when he was playing for Evil Geniuses, he finished 2nd in Six Invitational 2018, Six Major Paris 2018, and Pro League Season 9

People say his best days are behind him (as he made the community believe by teasing retirement in 2021). But whether that’s true or not, nobody can deny he’s one of the best players in Rainbow Six Siege.

4. Paluh

We can’t complete our list without talking about the boogeyman himself. We like to compare Luccas “Paluh” Molina with CSGO’s Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut. The former is Brazilian and the latter is French, but both are mechanical gods with so much potential ahead. Both also haven’t won the annual flagship event in their respective titles and are hungry to take their careers to the next level.

Paluh has been consistently at the top of the leaderboard for a couple of years now. He was named by SiegeGG as the best player of Year 5 and Year 6 while being the 4th best player of Year 4. He was also the MVP of the Six Invitational 2021. He’s an absolute fragging machine, one that will likely stand on the shoulders of the best Rainbow Six Siege players before him.

3. Shaiiko

Stéphane “Shaiiko” Lebleu has been called one of the best Six Siege players (if not the best) in recent times. His outrageous fragging and entry, combined with his insane headshot percentage (somewhere around 63.5% even against the top 0.1% of R6 players), have all been excitedly discussed in the community.

The 24-year-old French player was ranked the best player in Year 4. Despite having only a handful of Tier 1 events under his belt, like the expensive Gamers8 in 2022 and the Six Jönköping Major in the same year, Shaiiko is not lacking in anything when it comes to his own numbers. He was the EVP at both the DreamHack Montreal 2019 and the Six Invitational 2020, where BDS, his team, finished 4th.

We’re not going to address the ban because most already think it’s uncalled for at this point. He got punished for being too good, with the only upside being one of the most anticipated Rainbow Six tournaments of all time when he returned. He’s here, he’s back, and he’s owning.

2. Beaulo

At the age of 21, American R6 player Jason “Beaulo” Doty’s retirement from the competitive scene came as a shock to the community. Perhaps his fans correctly believe he has nothing more to prove after winning prestigious events during his rather short stay in the limelight.

In 2019, already a member of TSM where he would leave his legacy 3 and half years later, he won DreamHack Montreal 2019. The next year, TSM finished 3rd in the Six Invitational 2020, and the year after that they bowed out 4th. Finally, in 2022, Beaulo won his first Invitational.

It seems even some of the youngest and best pro Rainbow Six Siege players find it hard to stay driven when they’ve had enough to achieve.

1. Pengu

No name has been praised in the R6 competitive scene more than Niclas “Pengu” Mouritzen, often referred to by the community as the GOAT. He was the back-to-back champion who won Six Invitational 2018 and Six Invitational 2019 (with one Six Major Paris and one Pro League Season 8 in between).

Within 5 years, Pengu’s refined mechanical skills and effective in-game leading achieved what the rest of the best pro Rainbow Six Siege players on this list could only hope to achieve. And he did it twice. Easily the all-time achiever as far as the Siege professional circuit is concerned.
